  6. Hi again hun :tt1: Im sure it was about a month when I heard that my funding had gone through maybe a little sooner , but it felt like forever , it does when your waiting eh  The only scary bit is the unknown , The surgery & a/setic was fine . Yes your a bit sore and tired for a good few days but after 2 weeks I was pretty much back to normal . The gas pain was the worst thing :tt1: Honestly u will be fine , like u this was my last chance at weight loss and to get healthy . Its worth it I promise u , but its no miracle cure its merely just a tool to guide u . But If your good to the band the band will be good to u . best wishes hun S x:thumbup:
  7. I was banded on the Nhs but at the heartlands in Birmingham 7 weeks ago . I also had to loose 1-2 stone before surgery , I managed over a stone with just sensible eating and walking . My pre op ass entailed : blood testing , Mrsa swabbing , weigh in , lots of questions about my general health etc . Nothing too daunting . Just try and focus and stay positive and strive towards your surgery , u will loose the weight asked If u really want this surgery . Best wishes .. u can do it !!!!!!!!!!!!
  8. Hi ya hun :cursing: Thats insane ... U wasnt given any diet sheets or guidelines to follow ? Tell me what stage your at and what your managing just now and I will give u some ideas off my diet plans . x
  9. Could also be down to your cycle ? I also gain a pound then loose it right after . Dont panic .. it will come off
  10. Hi and congrats on your surgery . wishing u a successful journey Best wishes S x
  11. Eating little and often keeps the Hunger monster at bay , spreading the day out like above u shouldnt feel hungry . Your portion size should be 3-6 tablespoons and never exceed 6 .(main meal) Serve your meals on a 7" plate (tea plate) Eat slowly take 20 mins per meal Stop eating at the first sign of fullness, If food is left throw it away Drink frequently up to 15 mins before your meal and try to leave 1-2 hours after meals before u drink . Consume a minimum of 2 litres of fluids daily , there is no maximum amount . Make sure u drink calorie free liquids , avoid alcohol and choose low fat , low sugar foods . Again hope this helps I know how it feels to feel like your failing .. BUT WE ARE NOT ! BRING THOSE FILLS ON Stay focused we can do it !!!!!!! S x
  12. Hi ya .. Im in the same boat as u hun , I was banded 6 weeks ago and like u I have no restriction , my surgeon doesnt do fills until 10 weeks I had a bad time with grazing last week and felt such a failure and so down . So I thought RIGHT back to basics ! I phoned my dietician this is some of the advice he gave me and its working !!! 15 mins before your meal drink a glass of Water , and stick to 3 meals a day and drink plenty BUT try and leave a good hour or more after your meals before u drink. I lost 2 pound the first day I went back to BASICS the dietician SAID Think pre op to get u back motivated so Ive kinda programmed my mind to think Im still pre op and my surgery will be cancelled If I dont stick to the rules .. THE MIND IS A POWERFUL THING ! Im gona give u a typical day plan from my dietician Before Breakfast : drinks 8am : Breakfast : 3 tablespoons of bran flakes , 1 weetabix , porridge oats , special K , half a slice of toast with scrambled egg or 2 tablespoons of baked Beans or tinned tomatoes . 10am : Drinks 10.30 :mid morning : 1 small diet yoghurt or some fruit 12.30: Drinks 1pm(midday) :Maximum of 6 tablespoons for main meal 3pm : Drinks 3.30pm : diet yoghurt or fruit or something healthy 5.30 : Drinks 6pm : Evening meal 8pm : drinks I hope this guides u a little , dont give up I felt like u last week and Ive lost 2 pound already this week going back to basics and getting back on track !
  13. Yes Ive heard that If your liver to too fatty they wont continue with surgery . Its normally postponed until weight is lost and liver is shrunk , so pre op u must be on a low fat diet and defo no alcohol. My surgeon was cancelling ops before hand If u hadnt lost the required amount before surgery. My dietician called and warned me So by god I made sure I lost that pre op weight:tongue2: I asked about my liver after surgery , surgeon said my liver was perfect I was suprised as my diet was bad before my pre op diet although I hardly drink . Best wishes ... AND good luck x
  14. Found these in Asda : asda's own brand called Daily 5 Nutrient food supplements with added Vitamins & minerals . One serving provides many of the key vitamins & minerals and essential nutrients typically found in 5 fresh fruit & vegtables . 14 sachets in a box ... cost under £4.00 Orange flavour I was told by my dietician to take vitamins & minerals in a dissovable or chewable form . These are the BEST Ive tried yet , so thought Id share my find . Best wishes S x
  15. Hi there What are u eating at the moment can u give us a run down of your typical day menu ? Sounds like u could be too tight , not chewing enough or bad food choices . I at the moment was how you was , no restriction and waiting my first fill , everything I do now is on pure will power , its very hard but Im damn sure Im not gaining the weight ive lost (we have worked to hard for that) Although my band still does its job and curbes my hunger , I had a bad few days where I grazed last week . So this week Ive have got back on track and Im following the hospitals diet sheets . Were u given any ? S x:thumbup:
