Hello. I'm in Southern Illinois, 47. I am also in the early stages. I have had my initial consult with the surgeon. On July 11 (My b'day) I have an appt with the nutritionist and getting an upper Gi. July 19 I get the psych eval. I had done the liquid pre-op diet a couple days so I know what to expect. I am excited but nervous!

I had not had a period in almost 3 years. My gyno. had said I was in menopause. I had surgery Nov 8 and have had a period every month since. I was told the trauma the surgery causes your body makes the hormones to go crazy.

Mine is scheduled for November 8, so I'll be on puree for Thanksgiving. I am going to make mashed sweet potatoes.

When I started trying to make better choices, a lot of times I'd type the name of the restaurant + either "keto" or "eat this not that" into Google and use that as my starting point

Heyyy yall! RNY is scheduled for Monday August 1st, the surgeon said I will be staying 1 or 2 nights, what are some things that will come in handy during my hospital stay and what are some things I need once I'm home?

Hi there! I'm new here as well. I have gone through all of the approval process. I'm having the VSG on July 19th. Super nervous but excited too. I start the preop diet on July 4th.
I'm 46 with 4 kids (ages 25, 22, and 12 year old twins) I'm in Maryland.

Day one of the liquid diet is today. I am stressing. Yet O am excited.
