  1. I cringe when I see old photos of myself. It was exhausting to try to pose in a way that hid my size, and I was always trying to angle my face or stick my neck out so my double chin wouldn't show. It also makes me a bit sad, because I would delete photos of myself that I hated, or greatly crop it so my weight wasn't so obvious. I never did pregnancy photos because I felt like a whale, and haven't done any family photos throughout the years because I hated the way I looked. Perhaps that is vain, but before I became fat, I had prided myself on my appearance. When I see old photos I remember my massive insecurities, as well as all the anger and tears shed regarding my weight struggles. Therefore, I regret not having surgery years ago. ?

  3. I realized that many of my shoes are now too loose. When purchasing a new pair of boots I had to keep sizing down. For that particular style, my shoe size decreased by one full number! Some styles are only a half size too big. Totally unexpected. I assume that carrying all of that extra weight also causes the foot to spread out further. On another positive note, I no longer require wide calf boots. Anyway, I was just curious to see if anyone else has experienced this. Carry on. ?

  6. New clothes is a lovely reward. ? Especially an item that I was not able to (confidently) wear before, like a shorter skirt or a fitted dress.

  8. I just had the gastric sleeve surgery on 3/15. ?
