  1. I have been on a roller coasters since my lap-band surgery. I was more than a year post op and it didn't bother me at all. There was only one coaster I felt was too rough and jarred me a lot. I probably will not ride that one again, because I don't want to risk it. Have fun! Be careful!
  2. I am starting the challenge today! I need something to jump start me.
  3. Thanks John! That's a great idea. I will give it a try.
  4. I am very disappointed in myself. I have only lost 30 lbs in my first year. It was 45 at one point but pounds are creeping back as I make poor decisions. I have to get it in gear.
  5. Oh my goodness! I feel like you wrote this about me! I was banded on 9/23/08 also and am really struggling. I KNOW what I have to do but do not know how to get back on track.
  6. Do you let yourself have the same amount of points you would have before the band, or have you figured out a different amount because of the band?
  7. I had the same problem. I was banded on 9/23. I had loose stool and constant upset stomach for a while. As soon as I moved to more solid foods it became better.
  8. I was banded 9/23. Last night was the first night I could sleep on my side. It still wasn't 100% comfortable but I was so tired of sleeping on my back. I look forward to the day I can sleep on my tummy. I love sleep way to much to be uncomfortable.
  9. I am so excited! I just found out my surgery is September 23rd!
  10. Hi my new friends! I am a 30 year old assistant principal that has dealt with weight her whole life. I have recently started the process of getting all my stuff in for lap-band surgery. I have my physical this week and next week I go to my psych eval. I know it's a process to get to the actual surgery, but I can't wait. I am excited to start a new life. I know it will be a tough road, but absolutely worth it. I look forward to stories, tips, and advice from those of you who have already undergone surgery.
