    rollercoasters???

I have been on a roller coasters since my lap-band surgery. I was more than a year post op and it didn't bother me at all. There was only one coaster I felt was too rough and jarred me a lot. I probably will not ride that one again, because I don't want to risk it. Have fun! Be careful!

How much in your first year?

I am very disappointed in myself. I have only lost 30 lbs in my first year. It was 45 at one point but pounds are creeping back as I make poor decisions. I have to get it in gear.
  5. Oh my goodness! I feel like you wrote this about me! I was banded on 9/23/08 also and am really struggling. I KNOW what I have to do but do not know how to get back on track.

*New* Weight Watchers + Lap Band Group

Do you let yourself have the same amount of points you would have before the band, or have you figured out a different amount because of the band?
  7. I had the same problem. I was banded on 9/23. I had loose stool and constant upset stomach for a while. As soon as I moved to more solid foods it became better.
  8. I was banded 9/23. Last night was the first night I could sleep on my side. It still wasn't 100% comfortable but I was so tired of sleeping on my back. I look forward to the day I can sleep on my tummy. I love sleep way to much to be uncomfortable.
  9. I am so excited! I just found out my surgery is September 23rd!
  10. Hi my new friends! I am a 30 year old assistant principal that has dealt with weight her whole life. I have recently started the process of getting all my stuff in for lap-band surgery. I have my physical this week and next week I go to my psych eval. I know it's a process to get to the actual surgery, but I can't wait. I am excited to start a new life. I know it will be a tough road, but absolutely worth it. I look forward to stories, tips, and advice from those of you who have already undergone surgery.
