I guess that is my problem too. I'm impatient. I have been going through all of this for a year now. I'm just ready for it to be over with. I have my follow up appointment on my sleep study on Thursday. If I don't hear from her by then, I'm calling!

I understand what you are saying April. I totally agree with you too. I am going to call her next week and see where do I go from here. I am done with everything I am suppose to do except for the support class and the nutrician class ~ but I can't go to it until I get a surgery date. I think they are VERY bust more like the over worked under paid syndrome. Are you getting excited yet?

Crazgirl ~ I have had no luck in emailing her either. I called her one time and she talked to me for about 5 mintues. I think Shawna is right, they have too many patients now to give individual attention. Let me know if you need some help getting in touch with her. I will email her for you!

Oh that is great! I am so excited I can barely stand it. I emailed Naomi this morning all of my completed dates so hopefully she can set up a surgery date. I am looking forward to meeting everyone I chat with on here! Malinda is really excited too. She is my co-worker who is just starting this long process.

Well, as of yesterday I am done with everything! The only thing I am missing is my support class (Aug 16th) and the nutrician class. I can't go to that until I get my surgery date. SO- I will be calling Naomi today! I'm getting really excited to start my new life!

Hey there! I am also waiting on my surgery date. I go tomorrow for my EGD and then I have the support group meeting on (8/16) then my nutrition class! I'm getting excited! Good luck...let us know if Tricare approves you!

Ok question...is it like having a baby via c-section? I think if I can handle 3 of them suckers I can handle this! I am getting really excited. I go tomorrow for my EGD and then I pray I get a surgery date. I am waiting for this part of my journey to end and then I can start my new life. I'm sure like you - you feel like a whole new person! I just can't wait!!!!

I have got to say that I have also come full circle. I started doing all of the BC/BS mumbo jumbo they make you do starting last August. I am going for my EGD Wednesday then I will receive my surgery date. I am getting excited now! I have been overweight since I was a kid and I have come to realize that being "obese" is a disease. Just keep in mind that you are doing this for yourself and your health.:thumbup:

Hey there! I actually heard from her earlier this week. I rescheduled my EGD for Aug 6th and after that I will receive my surgery date. I have a question....what does " PB " mean? I guess it's something I will have to get used to huh?:biggrin:

Hi guys! I hope your fill goes well. I am going tonight for my 2nd half of the sleep study. Then next Wednesday I go for my EGD. Hopefully after that I can get my surgery date. Wish me luck!

I tell you what...I am getting too anxious I think ~ I'm ready to take that journey to a new life and start to feel better. I am going to have a serious conversation with Naomi.

OH that helps a lot! A girl I work with is going Thursday night to the seminar. I have to be there for the 2nd part of my sleep study so I am going to take her to the seminar then go to the sleep lab. I am getting excited now. I just hope after getting this taken care of I can finally get a surgery date!

Oh we are doing great! Finally was able to move out of Center Point back out in Warrior. I am getting SO excited. I told Joe and Jim that this is going to be a new "lease" on life for me. I have been big my whole life and I was tired of it! I am going to do this for me and no one else! Let me ask you something....what all do you eat? Like fruits and veggies? Do you eat any sugar?

Hey you! I called Naomi like you said and she was rude. I don't know if it was because I sent her emails first or not. I have to have the EGD and the nutrition class. I am finishing up my 2nd half of the sleep study on Thursday the 31st. I am hoping to get my date soon!

Yes I have! I was approved back in March! I just don't understand why they haven't set a surgery date as of yet. I have done the psych eval, first visit with Dr. Miles, the seminar, 1st part of the sleep study, and all I have left is the lap band support group and then the class. Have they set you a date yet? Should I just call her??

That is too funny!!!! Did you have any problems getting Naomi to help you out? I have emailed her twice now and I still have not received my surgery date. Any ideas why?

Hi All! I apologize, but I can not remember who went to Dr. Miles down here. That is who I am going to see. I have gone through all of the "red" tape, BCBS has approved me and I still have not been given a surgery date. When did Naomi give you a date? I was wondering if anyone else has had any problems in that area. I am with you on the c-section thing. I have had 3 of them and if you are in pain, I bet I will be too!

I don't mind! I am using Dr. Miles of the Alabama Weight Loss Center. I have heard good things so far about his group. I actually work with a lady who had gastric done. I tell you, this has been an emotional roller coaster for me.
