  1. Im 66 pounds down from 213 to 147 and feeling great. Can tolerate all foods but not carbonation.
  2. We’re all +/ - 4 months out from surgery. Would love to hear some check-ins and see how everyone is doing. I’m 32 and my starting weight was 213 and I’m currently 168. I haven’t had any issues and seem to tolerate everything. The only thing that I struggle with is my fluid intake, I’m usually only getting in about 40 oz everyday including my protein. I’m still aiming to drink 2 shakes a day.
  3. Has anyone had to drink magnesium citrate before surgery? I’m scheduled for tomorrow and was instructed to drink two 10 oz bottles, two hours apart. I’m really struggling getting them down
  4. Surgery twins! Same day. Best of luck to you

  9. I just updated it. I’m pre-op and scheduled for vsg on March 28th!
  10. Thanks for all of the input. I wish I had an extensive list of the accepted comorbidities. I’m nervous about not qualifying
  11. Hi all, I was originally going to go through with VSG as a self-pay but my guilty conscience is weighing on me for not at least attempting to have my insurance approve it. I have Blue Cross and a BMI of 37. Besides being overweight, I’m relatively healthy. I do not have any of the comorbidities that my plan lists. Does anyone have any experience with seeking approval with a similar situation? Looking for advice on how to be approved or a more complete list of comorbidities. Thank you!
