  1. I started exercising 4 days after. I was feeling fine, and wasn't in any pain. I took it real slow, only did about 15 minutes each on the treadmill and eliptical. I then pumped it up, I know go 5 times a week for 1 hr. I see a trainer twice a week. I'm 6 weeks out, last time I weighed I had lost 20 pounds. I have lost way more inches. Went shopping today, I can't fit any of my clothes:thumbup::thumbup:

  4. When I first got banded, I took really simple things to work,just to get used to what I could tolerate and what I couldn't. I would make a batch of Soup (white chili, taco soup, cioppino) anything that was maily broth based with a lot of Protein. I love to cook, so that was better for me rather than trying to find some pre-packaged stuff that I wouldn't like. Try the tostito's spinach dip (2 tblspoons with a can of chicken) it is so good, I eat it with ww wasa crisps. I'm glad you guys will be making "muffins" this weekend.. Luluc I will definetly be making potstickers. I tried a new version of the "muffins", I call them chili cheese muffins(really good) ground turkey, onion, garlic, all of your favorite chili spices, little tomato paste, egg beater, cheese bake until done. I topped them off will a little homemade chili, ff sour cream and green onions... yum-o:tt2:

  8. Got the tortillia's. They are not no carb, but very low, 11 g per serving and only 60calories..They are called Carb Counters. They didn't taste bad, tasted exactly how I thought a whole wheat flour tortillia would taste. b-sf carnation instant breakfast s-1/4 chorizo, egg, cheese breakfast "muffin" topped with salsa l- collard greens, catfish nuggets (4) d- grilled shrimp taco (with carb counter), topped with salsa , lemon juice,shredded cabbage s-homemade fruit and cool whip parfait exercise 1 hr at the gym:thumbup:

  13. it's a muffin without the bread. The egg bakes around the other ingredients, it comes out like a muffin. The other day I made a taco version with ground turkey, chili powder, onions, garlic, cumin, oregano, tomatoes, taco sauce shredded cheese. When it was all done I split it open added salsa and ff sour cream, green onions:tt2::sad:
  14. The latest one i made was pizza style ground turkey italian sausage with onion, garlic and italian seasoning add turkey pepperoni and a little pizza sauce. Spray a muffin pan spoon mixture into the pan top with cheese (i used parmesean and mozarella) top with either whole eggs or egg beaters ( i add a little half and half to the egg beaters, almost filling the pan.. Top with a little more cheese and bake 375 for about 35 minutes

  21. Bigbaby, I understand. I love to cook, therefore my days revolve around new recipes I want to try and what I will make for tomorrow.   24. This was the best thing I could have ever done. I haven't had any complications, no drama. I guess we have all gotten to the point where we are ready to shed this weight and keep it off. Not everyone here who has had the surgery was really ready (you can see it in their responses). Of course we're used to eating whatever we want, whenever we want, but look where that got us:thumbdown:. For me, this has been and will continue to be a life changing experience. I am eating better than I ever have in life, I'm exercising (I mean really exercising), I work out 5 days a week , 2 of those days with a personal trainer. It's only been about 6 weeks since surgery and I am getting so many compliments, people are really noticing. Others that need to do something about their weight are inquiring about the procedure. I would shout it from the mountain tops if I could. THE LAP BAND WAS THE BEST THING TO EVER HAPPEN TO ME:thumbup::lovechoc::scared2:
