  1. didnt even know that was a thing... i would have figured the more the better.
  2. LMAO **** he technically works for me right? I am paying him for a service lmao. HAHAHA
  3. LMAO No literally just the shakes tho i told him i am gonna add a lean protein meal every couple days and he didnt have a issue with it. I have a bunch of Alaskan sockeye salmon. cant get healthier than that lol
  4. the hair loss is only temporary. So dont stress on it. I dont want to loose my hair either but i have some hats just incase lol Looks like you are on a 2 week liquid diet too. I just got told today that mine will be 2 weeks too. But they provided the shakes. Tho i am gonna get others too. I also bought a little magic bullet blender thing for the shakes.
  5. So saw the surgeon today and i will be on a 2 week liquid diet which realllllllllyyyyyyy sucks. They will call me in the next day or two to schedule the surgery. Also paid the money today which was a sad sad thing lol I had to call the bank to let the transaction go thru since it was sooo high. They also provided the liquid diet shakes there at the office... Oh this is gonna be torture lol. I already told everyone in the house that once this two weeks diet starts no one is allowed to order any type of outside food. lol
  6. Thats interesting you do the preop stuff the day before because one of my pre op testing came back abnormal and i had to make a appointment with a cardiologist who then sent me to a testing place to have a nuclear stress test done and that whole process took a extra 2 weeks.
  7. Before today i only saw the surgeon once for the initial appointment. Which then i got my lab orders and stuff i needed to do before i could move on. Chest Xray, EKG, Blood test (11 different test) , and a psychological evaluation (Which is what took the longest because there was no appointment for 2 months) One of my test came back abnormal which was the EKG. So i had to go to a cardiologist to get clearance for surgery, Cardiologist had me do a nuclear stress test which came back good and i got clearance last week. Today was my 2nd visit with the surgeon and that only lasted maybe 3 minutes or so and was told i had to do a 2 week liquid diet before my surgery and of course paid the money today. I should get a call in the next day or two to schedule the surgery
  8. Yea i checked out the mexico places. around $8-10K. Dont really wanna go to another country for surgery and also have to travel. Just want to go from the hospital to my house that is 20 minutes away and recover
  9. So funny part is i got a call like 20 minutes ago from the bariatrics that they made a mistake that one of my test came back abnormal (EKG) that they cant approve the surgery yet. I was like "yea i know i saw the results, Already took care of it, Saw a cardiologist, who had me do a nuclear stress test and gave me clearance for the surgery" She was like "WOW, you are on top of it all arent you?" LMAO i was like damn straight.
  10. Spoke to the bariatric center today and they said all my test came back good that i am approved for the surgery. Appointment number 2 with the surgeon tomorrow which will go over some stuff and then i go next door to schedule my surgery and they will let me know how long of a liquid diet i will be on before the surgery and also i can buy the protein shakes there they said which i will buy a couple since i have no idea what they taste like. Then comes the very sad part... I start writing checks to pay for this surgery. I'm gonna cry watching nearly $18,000 come out of my checking account lol.
  11. ive personally never had a problem with people telling me i am fat. I knew it so it was no surprise and did not hurt my feelings or anything. and with friends we always joke about it and i find it hilarious. Tho i know not everyone is like me with the way i think.
  12. I decided to look into the surgery after one day going to my local mall and i could not walk across it from one end to the other without being completely exhausted and needing to take a break. Also friends ask me out and i have no nice clothes to go out in because finding anything in my size is nearly impossible at any retail store i go to.
  13. Didnt even realize that that was the name of the hospital in your title lol. Man that seriously sucks. I would be pissed. I hope they get to you soon
  14. whats the place you are getting it done called?
  15. yea i made sure to read all of the fine print in regards to exclusions and sure enough if you end up in the hospital due to a issue from bariatric surgery it wont be covered. so stupid. its why i went with this particular surgeon because they offer complication insurance for the self pay people.
  16. i also have florida blue... they exclude bariatric surgery here in florida. no way around that. i tried. i am doing self pay here in jacksonville, fl. best is to call around and get pricing for your procedures you want. also something to consider if you have issues after surgery, florida blue will not cover any complications that come up due to the surgery.
  17. your username drop down arrow.
  18. Did my nuclear stress test yesterday. Its a simple test but takes forever. 4 hours. Worst part of it was the IV lol took 20 minutes to find a vein for the IV. Luckily they did not need to inject me with medication to raise my heart rate, I simply walked on the treadmill. Got results back today. Everything is good. They gave me a pre op cardiac clearance form. Now to call the bariatric office tomorrow and see what the next step is since i am done with all the pre op stuff.
  19. you asked "Can someone please tell me what exactly is "binge eating" Keyword there is EXACTLY.. So i provided you with a medical definition on what EXACTLY it is... You didnt ask for peoples experience with it or a personal definition... You probably just want someone to talk to regarding it. if so then great. I tried to help by providing you the exact definition. Have a great day...

  21. yea they are all different. Other bariatric surgery centers in my area did not require a psyc eval at all. the hospital i am getting it done at requires it.
  22. My psyc eval was pointless. the actual meeting with the psyc was maybe 40 minutes on zoom. talked about the surgery, asked if i knew how it was gonna be after surgery with the restrictions and then asked if i ever wanted to hurt myself lol. and yes it took 4 hours mainly waiting. 20 minutes to find a vein for the IV, Injected with the radioactive tracer, wait, wait, scanned, wait wait wait, treadmill, more tracer, sit, eat crackers and drink some water, wait an hour and a half then last scan lol.
  23. yea its nuts. The psyc testing is literally in the bariatric office. I did my nuclear stress test today that was a long 4 hours lol. get the results tomorrow.
  24. My bariatric center also has a psychologist in the same practice/program, same floor. Still took over 2 months lmao. I was like SERIOUSLY???
