Hello Lapbanders or soon to be banders
Hey Jessi! I had Dr. Archer do my Realize Band on Aug. 5, 08. We are about 1 month apart. You will love this site, it is very helpful and full of great information, as well as support. Do you reside in Bend?

Need to get my act together
Gilta~ I agree with Steve, maybe you need to schedule a fill a little sooner. I don't know if it is a driving situation or not, but sounds like that might give you a bit more restriction and help you get back on track. Can you go back to tracking your food? I know that when I get away from that piece, little bites here and little bites there always seem to sneak their way into my mouth. Do you track online or on paper? I usually track online, but sometimes I just can't get to it. So I bought a small purse calendar that is dedicated to my exercise and food, that way I have no excuses! Also, you might want to start measuring again. I think we are all at the half way point, feeling a bit to comfortable and just need those reminders of what we are eating. I know you can get back on track, you have come this far, it is time to refocus and get to it!

Training for a triathlon...
That is great that you have a Tri club. I haven't found anything like that here. I will have to do some more digging. I just can't believe that they don't have anything like that in Bend - it is the meca of outdoor sports!

Couch to 5k.....come join me!!
Renewed~Glad to hear that you are feeling well! 33 staples, wow! Georgia~Did the dr have any other explanations or some way to find out why you would be losing fluid? That is a bit bothersome. Hope you get some restriction! I had a bad run on Monday, lifted today, hoping my run is better tomorrow. The weather was definitely a lot warmer than it has been, wondering if that could have something to do with it. We have had unseasonably warm weather this week - it was 62 today, we usually never go above 40 this time of year!

Training for a triathlon...
Mac~ You are amazing! That is quick! I am pretty sure I am getting a bike for my b-day. I have been trying to find a used one and get a decent price. I am sure it is best to do your bike on the road, but how much did you do in the gym?

Training for a triathlon...
MacMadame~ How long did it take you to train for your first Tri? I am just trying to get a time frame for training and figure out what I can/can't do realistically. I have the running down and worked into my schedule. I am going to start biking and swimming in March. My students have their big State competition at the end of Feb, and I figured trying to fit anything else on my plate right now would be overwhelming!

kathy~ Have a good trip! Thanks for the info. I am running close to 3miles at home. I figured if I kept adding minutes, I could add a longer run once or twice a week.

Couch to 5k.....come join me!!
I finished the 9 weeks! Now What???? I was planning on adding 2 min more to my runs next week. Not sure where to go from here. Do you find it better to run for a set time or to run for miles? I have a 5K coming up in March, so I was going to have my DH drop me off 3.1 from the house and run home for practice. Of course it will be hilly and the race in March won't have that much of an elevation change, so I figure if I can make it at home, I can make it on race day! Any suggestions?

Whosya~ My DH was really skeptical about getting the Wii, now I have to kick him off it so the kids and I can use it! He has been doing yoga since we got it at Christmas time and he is now kicking my butt on the poses! Wii is really fun for the whole family!
