  2. I bought very large diameter drinking straws from Amazon. The kind they use for bubble tea. I know not everyone approves, but they really help me get the fluids in. Sent from my moto g power using BariatricPal mobile app
  3. Ice cold protein shakes are the way to go! Ice cold water and electrolyte drinks, too! Sent from my moto g power using BariatricPal mobile app
  4. 3 weeks, but I didn't have to lose weight before surgery. Just the pre-op diet for 2 weeks. Sent from my moto g power using BariatricPal mobile app
  5. I say this for myself and for you. That guy was an a$$. What you do or don't eat is nobody's business. Don't let an immature jerk keep you from getting out there. It is important to set boundaries about your eating in a social situation. Good luck! Sent from my moto g power using BariatricPal mobile app
  6. Your local food pantry may be able to help. Skip the pasta, rice and bread. Go with canned and dried beans, canned meat, tuna, eggs and peanut butter. Sent from my moto g power using BariatricPal mobile app
  7. I am just getting into soft food and also not a big cook. Found these Hormel beef tips and gravy during my pre-op diet. I just rinse off the gravy and have tender pre cut beef that you can heat up in the microwave. They were on the aisle between the meat and the lunch meat. Sort of reminds me of beef stew. Haven't tried the chicken yet - it was next to the beef tips. Sent from my moto g power using BariatricPal mobile app

  9. Since you just had your surgery, an idea would be to contact your Dr or nutritionist to see what they have to say. They might have you increase your protein shakes or add something else in addition to the great suggestions already posted. Sent from my moto g power using BariatricPal mobile app
  10. I hope you are still hanging in there! It will be worth it!! Keep drinking as much as you can and most of all, be kind to yourself. You have come so far and the finish line/start of your new life is so close. Sent from my moto g power using BariatricPal mobile app
  11. I did a pre-pre-op diet for 4 days. Cut out caffeine, drank protein shakes and had sf jello. Moving to the real pre-op diet was easy. Had my surgery 4 days ago!!!!. For 2 weeks post op it will be all liquids. It was helpful to me. Good luck! Sent from my moto g power using BariatricPal mobile app
