Okay so I got laid off and started going back to my old ways. So now I gained back 1.5 back. Well i want to remain accountably so I am posting it. It seems like I have lost and gained 4lbs since the begining of this challenge. Well I am going to start again. At least I can excersise more since i am not working. Hey Shauna80, Glad to have you aboard. I live in Oakwood which is not to far from you. I hade my surgery in 7/08. I am still getting the hang of this but if I can help let me know. Hi Speck, I go to the support group at Northside hospital. You can contact Debbie Spamer about when the group meets. I go the 2nd Thursday of the month, but I think there is other days they have it. Sorry to be a bummer but I think of you guys as my family. I jost lost my job today. I can't beleive it I was with my comapny for 7 years and today 45mins before I left for the day they let my whole depatment go.:confused: This totally sucks. Now I have to find a job that will let me go and get my fills or find something early enough in the day that it won't matter. And besides that my husband works for a company that is not doing well and they will most likely let people go. My insurance did not pay for the lap band so I was self pay now I have to find away to pay all that debt off. This so sucks I just want to bury myself in Chocolate and margaritas. I feel like crying:crying: Anybody got any encouraging words?

I chose Dr John Daly from Northside I just love him!!! There are many wonderful doctors in Ga. I chose him for his wonderful beside manner and the hospital has a great support group.

I am here. I have done great I have lost 24lbs. I have hit a hiccup in the road though. I had to have emergency surgery on a strangulation hernia on the 3rd and was in the Hospital until 5th. Now I have a small bruise like mass underneath the incision and it hurts like crap and I am tired all the time. I was doing great in the hospital walking but now I am home and back to work I feel like I have no energy. Also I had to put off getting my fill this month until next month so I can heal. Oh well I am trying to plug along.

I will not be able to attend this year. Since I had the Lapband surgery in July and then ended up having an emergency surgery for something else last week, it is not going to work out. Hopefully they will be another one I can attend soon. I hope you all have fun.

I can understand what you mean having the lapband is one thing to get over but then you have to deal with something else. I hope you fell better soon. I finally get to go back to work tommorrow. I can't do anything except walking at the moment because he does not want me to stretch anything. It will be a couple of months till I can do anything else.

BellaPerdente, Because I had bowel sticking through they were afraid of strangulation so they did surgery right away. They cut my stomach muscles and pushes everything back in and then covered it with mesh and stitched my muscles tightly back together. As far as the pain it was to the right of my belly button more on the right side. Laurinda, Thank you so much I fell much better than I did thesuse2000, I am glad they found it sooner than later but it was a real shock

So on Labor day I had a dull but constant pain in my right side. I just figured it was gas or something so I let it go. Tuesday I went back to work with the same pain and I just put a heating pad on it. Needless to say I devolped nausea and went to a quick care place and was told I could have appendicitis and to go to the er. So to cut it short 8 hours later in the er I found out I had a hernia near my belly button. Also they were concerned that I had a strangulation with my bowel and the rushed me to surgery. :scared2:I had surgery Wed. morning and left the hospital on Friday. I am still in alot of pain I can't go back to work until I see the doc on Wed. Talk about having to take it slow now. Anyways if this is partly what is feels like to have a tummy tuck I am not sure I want one. He pulled my abdominal wall so tight he hurts to stand. Has anyone else experience this?

I am about 2 hours away from you. Maybe we can meet up on day. Anyways how have you been doing on your journey?

Is anyone tired of protein drinks? I am so tired of them. I have so many flavors but I am just tired of them. Any advice?

Lasthope, Did you go to the meeting at Northside on 8/15/08? I ended up having a dental emergency and could not go. What did they talk about? I plan on going to the next one which is 9/11 I beleive.
