  1. How are you? Any update? I have metroplus.... I am in NYC..... I have an initial 8/13/2021 appointment with the surgeon at Jacobi Hospital. Which Hospital did you go with?
  2. Maryuumah: PLEASE create it. It will be IMMENSELY valuable to MANY people including myself. Thank you.
  3. Yolev112: Wow, how EXCITING!!!!!! Time flies, YOU GOT THIS!!! Keep us posted with your journey.
  4. FIRST of all, you were body goals BEFORE surgery. You look great pre & post op. I am sooooo happy for you. CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!! Do what makes you FEEL happy AND comfortable.
  5. Too funny, I needed this. Thank you! LMAO
  6. Hi everyone, I am going to have gastric bypass Surgery between 08/2021-01/2022. I am excited to be here, I am excited to do everything required of me pre & post op. is there anyone in this forum that currently resides in NYC?
  7. How are you feeling now being post op?
  8. Thank you bill, noted. I will take a trip to my local store then... I will go to costo once it is time to do the pre op liquid diet.
  9. Billho: Thank you so much! What is your favorite liquid protein to drink? I don't even know when my pre op diet will start. idk my surgery date yet BUT, I want to start trying different shakes and start doing low carb/ high protein now. CONGRATULATIONS on reaching your goal weight!!!
  10. So sorry about that. Find people for support- loved ones, people in forums such as this one. I can be that for you. Message me, let's support 1 another. DO NOT let anyone dim your light. Do what is best for you regardless of who is for or against it, PERIOD!!
  11. Thank you all so much for the feedback. :)
  12. Did you make a LGBTQ community here???? I would love to be part of it. My weight gain was partially due to challenges I faced in my sexual orientation journey in my early 20s for sure.
  13. I was simply told that I will be meeting with a Nutritionist 1 day. Idk what that meeting will entail. What did the Nutritionist tell you to do? : To keep a daily journal for months ? Is it a once a month meeting or once a week meeting? Do they just go over a healthy diet and that’s it ?
  14. They want you to be under 300lbs before surgery day?
  15. I’m in Bronx, NY
  16. Aww I’m so sorry, I COMPLETELY understand how you feel. Your feelings are valid. Just give yourself some grace and understand that they need to tend to others right now AND will get to you in due time. I just made the call last week. My initial 1st appointment with the Surgeon will be in 2 months from now. I feel inpatient and ready to do surgery RIGHT NOW BUT, I gotta wait. Time flies, we WILL get surgery SOON, no worries. Sending you TONS of positive vibes your way. Keep yourself occupied in a positive way. This too shall pass. ?
  17. My tipping point: My butt being too big for some seats or clothes, not feeling sexy often, body discomforts, lower self esteem/confidence, not sitting on my husband's lap anymore, not getting on top when being intimate with my husband, health risks, health problems, not wearing a bikini/ belly shirts, my son poking at me and saying " mom you have a big butt and big stomach", being at my current weight of 333lbs!!! I am soooo OVER it!!! I can't believe I did this to myself. My yo yo diets did not give long term results, it is time to get professional/medical help. I am happy and grateful for the opportunity to get gastric bypass surgery soon!
  18. Hi!!!!!! I did not have surgery yet. Sending TONS of positive vibes your way. How are you? When is your surgery? I don't have a surgery date yet. Hopefully I will get it done before this year is up.
