  1. My file has been submitted to UHC for approval. I am being told to call back to the AIGB office here in Houston on Tuesday to check on it. Is'nt that a bit soon? How soon should I call my insurance to see if they have gotten the info? Thanks!
  2. Has anyone gone through the true results in Houston? I just would like to know what the experience was like. Thanks:smile2:
  3.:thumbup: That is great!!! I am very happy for you!
  4. I heard from my OB's office today and they will not have my chart until Monday. So I am thinking I need to get to work on a letter to explain my lapse and also detail my history myself to go along with the remainder of the records when I get them. Is there a way it should be written?
  5. I have UHC and I have been asked for one also. I am having a very tough time getting it together. I was under one doc's care from 2000-2001 and I have gotten those records and she only documented my weight two times in a year of visits! After that I have my OB's records which will show my highest of 320 during preganancy. But after that I had no insurance so I was not seen by a doc until spring of 2007 ( but I was never sick either) So I do not know how to explain the lapse.
  6. WooHooo!!!! I AM HAPPY FOR YOU!
  7. I think it went very well today. The took my labs and did the EKG. I met with the nurse. Everyone kept telling me how great my insurance was ( United Healthcare) She said that my BMI is higher than I thought. It is 45.6:frown: But of course it is high enough for that to be one of my only requirements. I have to get her my 5 year weight history on Monday and they will for the labs and everything should be submitted by next week. She said that with United that most approvals can take 1-2 weeks if you stay calling them everyday. So if all goes well I have a tenative date of 8-1. I am in the process of getting my weight history together and hopefully it goes smooth.
  8. AND I AM NERVOUS AS HELL. I WOKE UP AN HOUR AHEAD OF MY NORMAL TIME AND I STAYED UP LATE MAKING SURE I HAD MY HISTORY ALL FILLED OUT AND THATA I HAD MY QUESTIONS WRITTEN DOWN. I HAVE ATTEMPTED TO READ TO SEE WHAT TO EXPECT AT THIS VISIT BUT EVERYONE IS DIFFERENT. WELL WISH ME LUCK.:biggrin2:
  9. So I called United Healthcare today to verify if the procedure was covered. There were not many hoops they required but the said my BMI needed to be either 40 or above and that I had to be employed for 2 years to have been approved.:confused2::confused2: What does that have to do with anything? Has anyone heard of this?
  10. LOL.. I hope mine will move that fast!
  11. I am going through true results here in houston. I have heard lots of good things about the center and the doctors. So I am looking forward to the process. 19lbs?? That is great!
  12. Dr. Hollis is my Dr. I heard that he is one of the best and I am hopin so. After Thursday I guess I will know better how quick it may move. I notice that for others here that it seemed to move very fast. Is there a difference that I am missing?
  13. Hello. Just wanted to say hello! I am new here. I will be having my second evaluation on 7/3. I did one back in November and I was afraid to move forward at the time. I wish i had just sucked it up and gone ahead. I am a little nervous and hope things move pretty quick. Can anyone give a timeline? My insurance has already been pre-certified. Thanks!
