  1. Welcome! Who is your provider?
  2. So sorry to hear you're feeling down. I can relate to the new diet each day, and you really, in my opinion, have the right idea. Each day is a new beginning, and even though you may feel like you fail each day, you are not a failure, because each day, you re really trying. Perhaps you might need to go back to basics. Go back to your discussions with your dietician and your psychologist. That info is your foundation. And even though you my have gotten off track a little, the foundation is still sure. And, most of all, forgive yourself! Give yourself another chance. You deserve it!
  3. The preop diet, from my understanding, is a precautionary measure. I have my surgery on tomorrow, and I slipped big time (not yesterday or today though). But, I will be at the hospital bright and early. So, my advice would be to get up, brush yourself off, and get back on track. Not sure why, but some doctors dont require a preop diet. Some who have surgery in Mexico are sent off form their "last meal" the evening before surgery. Best wishes!
  4. UPDATE! My date is now Monday the 28th. I got a few scant moments ago that I was being pushed up from Tuesday to Monday. Yeh!
  5. Hi Debski, I'm sorry to hear of your boil. I have a family member who is diabetic, and have had some experience myself. I honestly cant say if there would be a problem, but I'm guessing that this is very common, and diabetes is very common among overweight people. Some have ongoing boils. But yes, you might want to call your doctor. I have my final clearance on tomorrow, and will ask my doctor if there is a general rule.:confused2:
  6. Hi all, I actually left my work in December, and will return in August (teacher burnout, but need the money, and miss the kids). While working, I had bc/bs il hmo, and encountered the exact same run around. :scared2:
