  7. Glad to hear you are doing so well!! I downloaded a timer app on my phone (timer+) to go off every 5 minutes so that I make sure I sip all day long - easy right now but will suck when I go back to work on Monday!

  10. how did your surgery go? Hope you are doing well
  11. Glad to hear it went so well!! get plenty of rest and continue to mend
  12. Day 3 and still doing fine. drinking the protein shake my doctor wanted was a little rough - it was supposed to be 2 scoops in 8 oz of silk but it was way to thick. he switched it to 1 scoop in 8 oz lactaid so it goes down much smoother. no matter what I drink I am only allowed 1 ounce every 15 minutes, and i need to sip the one ounce to make it last the whole 15 minutes. I have a chart that i have to write down my daily fluid intake and then text my doctor every night, he then tells me what to do for the next day. Doctor is awesome - checks in every single day and is very specific about what and when and how to do it!! hope everyone is doing well

  22. Is your pain near your incisions or is it from air pockets? I had some pain across my chest from air pockets - had to do a lot of walking, arm stretches and spirometer for it to ease up.

  25. Surgery is done!!! Feel good. Worse pain was the IV’s going in (one hand and one forearm). Surgery was at 10:30 - up and walking by 2:30. Walking every hour as much as I can. Some heaviness in my chest - air from surgery - going to keep walking. No problem sipping on the water every hour. I’m outta here tomorrow and so excited to start my best life!!!!
  26. Glad things went well. I will keep you in my thoughts. I go tomorrow.
  27. hope your surgery went well and you are recovering quickly
  28. my doctor has dictated which brand to use the whole time. I am currently on my 2 week liquid diet and using Pure Protein, but I only use 1/2 scoop in 8 oz of unsweetened Almond milk twice a day and a full scoop with 8 oz of unsweetened Almond milk two more times a day, making it 4 shakes a day. Have to drink them so they last for a 2 hour period each, and have a 1 hour timespan between each one.
  29. I am having mine on the 2nd also. Very excited to continue on my weight loss journey to become a healthier me.
  30. I had to get prior approval from my insurance before the doctor could do the surgery. My doctor sent them my starting weight from the first time I was weighed at his office. I have lost 40 pounds since then so I am glad they use the starting weight. Does your insurance company require prior approval? If not can you talk to them and ask if the surgery will be covered?
  31. do you have any diet restrictions before surgery? I also have to take 7 pks of Miralax with water two days before surgery and again the day before.

  33. how did all you pre-op appts go? I had mine today also. The all liquid diet is very weird - having to drink 8 oz shakes over 2 hour period, then 1 hour off, then repeat for a total of 4 a day. Hope the snow wasn't too bad
