Hi, even if you have to pay that you are lucky. My insurance covered nothing.I had to pay over $13,000.00. Good luck on your journey.

Hi, my symptoms were similar due to the swelling but went away in about a week. Did you get any saline in your band at the time of surgery? If you did maybe you got too much.

Hi, I have lost 32 pounds so far and until I started losing weight I had hardly any menopause symptoms any more. Now I get hot flashes frequently and have some trouble sleeping through the night again. Oh well it is still well worth it to lose weight.

Hi, I was banded by Dr. Curry on July 22nd.I was self pay and from the seminar appointment I was banded in a month.I highly recommend him and his staff they are the best. Last night ( a Sunday) I emailed him and he responded with in 30 minutes.I love my band and feel very safe with Dr. Curry.

Hi, the same thing happened to me. I went and got some zicam and zicam cough drops and was fine in 2 days. Hope this helps.

Hi, I got my band at 10:30 this morning. Dr. Curry in Cincinnati Ohio was my surgeon. He is so great and so are all his staff.I feel a little sore but other than that I am doing fine. I spend tonite inn a hotel then return home. I live about 4 hours away. I highly recommend him.:seeya::thumbup::ihih: I wish everyone getting their bands as good of an experience as me. moocatschade

Hi I am in the second week of my pre op diet. Medifast 5 and 1 plan. I have to stay on it for a total of four weeks. I get my band on July 22nd. Mushies sound pretty good about now. At least it is working I've lost 7 pounds on it so far and 3 before it on my own. Wow only 163 more to go.:tt2: I am going to look at it in small 10 pound goals along the way so it doesn't seem so over whelming .I joined the rec center today and swam laps for 30 minutes.

Hi,I am on my pre op medifast 5 and 1 diet. Does anyone have any ideas for the lean and green meal I get each day. I need some new ideas so I don't get so bored with the diet. I have to be on this diet till Surgery which is July 22nd. Thanks for any help you can offer. Moocatschade

I am just starting the process. I have an appointment to Go to Dr. Curry's on Wednesday for the psych evaluation, the consultation and the seminar. My insurance does not cover this so I am self pay. I hope things go smoothly and I can get my band soon.Thanks everyone for putting all the great information on here it is very helpful. ready2diet:thumbup:
