I had mine on Monday Feb 15.... Im fine.. just a lil sore on one of the incisions on my belly.

I was set for December 28th..... just got a called that hospital was postponing elective surgery ..... Im not down ... I know my day will come .

Postponed mine 6 days away Hopefully it isn't for long!

Im on day 10 and have 13 more to go... Ive gotten use to it now... first 3 days was hell.

I WISH I could have some green veggies.... I only get 3 protein shakes a day and water in between... nothing else. I would be in heaven with some veggies lol... and I have to do preop for 3 weeks! Im on Day 8 today and have lost 15 pounds.

I have already been approved for surgery. My surgeon has me on a 3 week preop liquid diet consisting of 3 protein shakes a day with water in between. Im on day 8 and Ive already lost 15 pounds. At this rate if I keep losing like this I will go under my BMI... (I wasn't too far from it to begin with).... can insurance deny surgery if I go under the 35 BMI during preop diet?

Im having the VSG also.

Has anyone else had surgery and went home the same day. My surgeon said he was going to have me home the same day of surgery. I actually want to stay overnight so I can make sure everything is ok. Same thing that happened to me.... A day before my 6th appointment, they called me and told me they were turning in my paperwork because my insurance changed the 6 month policy lol... I got the call with approval a week later and was given a surgery date that day.

Fellas did your shoe size change after surgery?

I would even be ok with popsicles and SF Jello... but my surgeon stated nothing but 3 protein shakes and water in between for me.

My surgery date is December 28th.... My surgeon had me start the preop diet on December 5th. He put me on a 3 protein shake diet a day..... water between each shake... no other food. It was tough the first 3 days... but Im on day 5... and cant believe Ive gone that long with no "food" . My preop will be a little over 3 weeks whereas everyone else Im seeing only has a 2 week.
