  1. I we for my 1 month follow up and everything is great!! Next wed I will start on reg food!!! I still have to push those fluids! I find it most hard at work even though I have a bottle at my desk!!! As always, I'm work in progress!

  3. Oh sorry to hear that! 45lbs is a great victory! Reach out for support! Celebrate your body! Also, if you don't feel better on Wellbutrin, don't give up. Have them switch it to something else! I was but on Wellbutrin a number of years ago to help quit smoking and ended up more depressed! Happens to some people but not all! I'm now on Lexapro which has worked wonders! We are all work in progress!
  4. I have my 4 week post op visit with the surgeon and nutritionist this coming Thursday. I feel good! I'm back to work full time this week! I wish I could have taken the whole summer off but my bank account didn't agree! The hardest part with being back to work is getting the required protien in, fluid and of course the almighty excersise! As far as food choices.......I am pureed chicken with low fat gravy, 90% beef with stewed tomatoes puréed and fish!!!! Cottage cheese and of course Greek yogurt! Sooooo many times I had to stop myself from taking a sip of water with eating! I have to hide the bottle or glass! That's hard!!!!

  7. Insurance would never cover surgery if the stats were that bad! Just a thought!

  9. I cooked up 90% ground sirloin! Put it in the food processor with stewed tomatoes! It had the fine consistency of baby food but was tasty! The stewed tomatoes made it moist enough! Also like cottage cheese and Greek yogurt! Bought chicken but haven't tried that yet! I started back to work today and noticed I had a harder time getting all my fluids in! I need to work on that! Glad to hear everyone is doing well!
  10. I just started puréed stage 3! I find myself getting full fast but get hungry again in a short amount of time! I'm down 30lbs in 3 weeks which is so exciting! I know it will slow but what a great motivator!!!!

  15. Finally figured out how to update my weight! Whew!
  16. Exciting! I am just 1 week out so it will be good for us to keep in touch! I haven't figured out how to change the ticker tape yet but I'm already down 15 lbs and very excited! First couple days were tough but worth it! Wishing you the best if luck and a speedy recovery! Keep me posted!
  17. This liquid thing is getting old! Two more weeks of this? Thankfully I like strained soup and baby food string beans!

  19. One week out and I am feeling so much better! The nausea has subsided but now I'm hungry! Great! 2 more weeks of protein drinks and strained soup. I'm 10lbs down! Need to figure out how to update my tracker! Haha

  24. Thanks Bellalulu, I am starting to round the corner! Getting outside walking a bit in the sunshine has been a real help. I still have trouble with nausuah especially with the protein drink! I am switching brands so hope that will help! Thank you for responding to my post! It really helps to connect with others! I have great support with hubby, family and friends which is great but........not the same as someone that has actually been through it!
  25. I am 3 days out and I am already feeling a little depressed or sad! Wish I could push a fast forward button! I feel like I stepped out of my life! Strange, lost feeling! I don't have a lot of pain! I am tired and weak and do get a lot of nausea from the protein drinks! I know it will get better! It helps to read posts so I realize I'm not alone! (I do have a great support group but they have never done this). Thanks for listening!
