Oh Garry I am so upset for you, what a damn shame. I was hoping it wouldnt be that, at least you're not like I was, so full of self-pity, crying Woe is me. At least Dr Chris has acknowledged that its not your fault and hopefully will sort it all out for you free of charge. I am still fighting my case but it may take 3 years plus according to my suit. But they assure me that the manufacturers will pay in the end, they just like to drag it out, cos its gonna be a biggie. You will be back and re-banded before you even know it. And you have done so well anyway. Glad you all enjoyed the crap saga, and sadly its still ongoing. Ah well I will go now and unpack the enima kit. I drank a litre of prune juice yesterday and thought that was the end of it, but no...today we;re back to square one again. My fella says i should go to the docs as its abnormal.

Starsky, dont feel bad about the bowel stuff, I would have been sharing my stories whether or no, I'm just a generous kind of guy I havent used the enima kit yet, gonna have one more 'try' at normal function. My cousins a nurse and says colonic irrigations, are just the same as enimas really...I have also read that they are far superior to taking laxatives, so will have to print off the instructions, to assist. I have tried to read all the posts, but there's so many I'd be here all day...such good support. Homecare your restriction sounds good, I dont think you should get a fill until it eases off. Sammy hope you're doing well hunny xxx. Yes my doggies are running again, maybe they were tired yesterday lol. I have never been so bunged up in my life!!! After the suppositories and laxatives and the daily prune juice, I bought some Stool softeners, and after 3 days they seemed to work. I was visiting my Mum in the hopspital and had to make a swift departure. Needless to say hubby was late and I was stood under a tree in the pouring rain legs crossed and going blue in the face. Eventually got home and (sorry to be giving out too much info) it was just liquid, the other stuff seemed to big to pass. I've had the worst 2 weeks of my life, felt choked up all the time, but I know its because of the constipation. The best part of it is ...it has spurred on my weight loss, God knows how. Yesterday out of desperation I ordered an Enima Kit online and paid the extra fiver or so to get next day delivery. Yes I am that in need. Just waiting for it to come. I was up at 6:30 on the loo and shifted lots, but now it seems like more has travelled down and we are back to square one. I know this is all due to not completely emptying my bowels and the lack of water. When I get up in the mornings I dont even need a wee, and thats not me, I usually piddle for England. As you can tell I am so up my own bum (literally) all I can talk about is my own experience, but if it helps anyone that will only be a good thing. I have vowed to drink prune juice every day and to keep that bottle of water near me at all times. The chocolate thing, try eating some just before you go to sleep, those of you with a tight restriction will awake with the acid reflux and it tastes dreadful, like sour milk. That has put me right off chocolate for life. I know I am the absolute worst baby in the world and the biggest moaner, but just wanted to share. Sorry to bore you. Garry am thinking of you. Seems like my doggies have stopped running....they were running yesterday and they're not now. Garry I will be thinking of you sweetheart, dont worry too much, it may be something and nothing.

We are not cliquey on here at all, its just that we just pick up on a post and reply to it, usually if its something that has happened or is happening to one of us. Homecare, what a bloody nightmare, that kind of thing happens to me. Your band must be very snug you dont sound like you even need a fill. The band (as previously discussed by us) has a mind of its own and changes from day to day. Some days you can eat what you couldnt eat yesterday, so you have to play it by ear, not so easy though, when it changes so rapidly. I can only say you seem to have gotten good restriction, make the most of it babe. If anyone likes my puppies, feel free to steal them, cos I stole them lol Yes it is very time-consuming going hospital visiting, I feel drained, I have been doing it for 5 months now, almost every day. You have to get your shower and get the hair and make-up done every day, I am getting fed up with it now. Thanx for your sweet words.

Thanx so much Singing parrot and Anita . what a marvellous idea what you did for you FIL. Sadly there's only me that visits Mum, but she's good mostly, today she was a little shaky, but that happens with her sometimes, she said she felt ok. I took her outside for a walk as it was so nice, and she enjoyed it along with a bag of Asdas lovely fudge. She really loves that. I am amazed that I can eat red meat with this band, I have just eaten brisket and mash with gravy and it was lovely....yum. I am still having toilet issues, after drinking 2 bottles of Prune juice this week, I have had to resort to laxatives today. duh!!!

Hey guys, nice to see you're all doing so well with your weight loss and dear Flirtydrawers doing so good too. Sammy, you have done really well to lose 3 stone, I havent even reached the 2 stone mark yet, but am still tight, so God knows whats going on with my stupid body, must be my age, and I'm not doing any exercise at all. I am still hospital visiting every day and my excuse is, I dont have the time or the energy. I know this band is working well so its gotta be me. I was never a big eater, (in one sitting) I have always been a grazer, maybe thats why I dont know. They told me at the hospital last night that the time (2 weeks ago) when they transferred my Mum to another hospital, she'd had a stroke. They did a brain scan yesterday and there's evidence of it. Poor thing, though she's lucky in that she hasnt lost the use of any of her limbs and the only things that seem to be affected are her hearing and her Dimensia is worse. They tell me, she will have more strokes, now she has had the one, which has upset me a lot. Sorry to be so morbid in this happy thread, but you all understand dont you. xxxx

Oh no Garry, please God you dont have a damn leak. Dont stress on it until you have seen dr Chris. And good on you about the non-paying, I tried everything and in the end after a whole year I ended up paying at a reduced rate. However the manufacturer will be liable, and my suit assures me that they will pay eventually but these things can take 3 years plus. If you've never had restriction then maybe the band was faulty from day one. It does happen and I am living proof of this, sorry to be a jobes comforter. xx

Maggs we are travelling down on 6th will probably be there for around 4pm, not too sure yet though. Steve wouldnt come its a gay wedding, you know what men are like, so am going with 2 mates. we're staying at the Park Inn Hotel in the city centre, which is near John lewis. Maggs, wouldnt you try the ZANTAC tablets? Both rachel and her friend used those to stop the reflux disturbing their sleep at night and they both lost loads of weight. I'm going to a wedding (Civil Partnership) in Cardiff on 7th August at Cardiff City Hall. not the same one as me is it?? I am only losing a pound a week, so good on ya babe !!!!

yes chick you did get a good deal, like i said I wish I lived closer to one of their clinics, I did mail them and ask, but they said there werent any plans to come up to my area in the near future. I spose Wendy cant get around to do anymore, she has enough on her plate. About the bowel/upchucking are you really sure about that dear......

Ahh Gail, you didnt scare me, but it did make me wonder. I wish I lived near one of their places so i could go see Wendy, she sounds like the business. How much do they charge chick? I just ate some fried mushrooms (yeh I know!!) but am so constipated, thought I needed the grease. I've taken laxatives, drunk prune juice and used loads of suppositories, but I am still feeling awful. Really i know its cos I havent been able to drink much. I think I'll be ok soon with the eating drinking issue, its slackening as we speak. But I think maybe I'll be ok for a few months yet and in late October I'm getting it unfilled cos I'm doing the far east and Australia trip, so am not missing out on all that wonderful food. This is one of the reasons I'm overweight to start with. duh!!!
