  1. I got a call from my office yesterday and they scheduled my surgery for the 14th of July. So very excited. Its close!
  2. I'm in Florida too. Jacksonville. I have Florida state insurance aetna. They didn't require much from me. I hope you get a surgery date soon!
  3. I hope so too!! Keep me upsated!
  4. I will call them Monday to explain my situation. My mom got surgery at the same place and gained weight too. They still did the surgery. We will see.
  5. I know it sucks having to wait several months. But it will fly by!! Try not to think about it. Easier said then done. I know. That is very long time to wait. I agree.
  6. Ugh the waiting game. Yeah I didn't want to feel like a stalker either. So I called once a week. They moved my surgery date to July 14th. Im worried though because I am gaining back my weight. My psych doctor upd my mood stabalizer. So im eating like crazy. I hope they don't cancel the surgery. It would break my heart.
  7. I've heard of some people doing that but then having to start all over. In fact I'm pretty sure Danielle who is in this chat is doing just that. Right @danielleleigh90?
  8. yes its going to be a long week for you! It'll go by fast though. Just like this whole process!
  9. I dont. I've been camera shy the past few years because of the weight gain. So I dont have an insta. But yes. That stuff really rewlly works. Its funny because my boyfriend thinks I have powers because everything I want i usually get. When I put my mind to it. Lol. Maybe we will be July surgery buddies!
  10. You will! I put it out in the universe that I would be approved. I kept imagining it. It worked. I know you've been doing the same. You will hear some good news today.
  11. I just called aetna and I've been approved! I was so worried I wouldn't be! But I was. Surgery date is July 20th!!
  12. I most definitely will! Thank you! Hoping for the best for all of us!
  13. Hello! I called both. It was insurance that told me they had a date though, not the office. Not sure what it means. Maybe the surgeon is positive ill be approved!
  14. My office submitted the papers for approval May 22nd. They told me the doctor already gave them a surgery date which is July 20th! So lets hope I'm approved!
  15. I too am at the same spot. All my paperwork was sent in the May 22nd. Then the holiday that following Monday. I called Wednesday and the approval is still pending. They gave me a date though already for the surgery and its July 20th. I'm going to try and get something sooner I hope if possible!
  16. So how'd it go? Did you get the approval? Excited to hear.
  17. Hey there! I have Aetna too. But don't require Endoscopy. Was that Aetnas requirement or your surgeons?
  18. my insurance requires 4 months with a nutrtionist/dietitian. I am on month 4 now. However my nutrtionist calls me for a monthly weigh in. I guess she allows it for people with busy schedules. I'm a nurse. I'm always busy. My problem is that I gained back my weight. I was 338 at my weigh in and got down to 334 then my mood stablizers meds were up a few milligrams and I now I weigh 246. Should I tell her I'm still 234 and keep trying to lose the weight until I am seen again or should I be honest and tell her about my weight gain? Anyone else have issues like this and still get approved for surgery? Thank you for any advice. Also I am only required to lose one poubd during my weigh ins. I probably physically won't see them for a month or two. I could get back down to 234.
