  11. I bought some yesterday, but figured I'll keep them until after surgery...which is less than a week away!!
  12. Vegas, If you go to Starbucks.com it has the nutritional info. It is with 2% instead of skin, though. But that should be fairly simple to adjust.
  13. Check out the August 2008 support group. There is a schedule there of all of us being banded that month! Congrats!
  14. I think it is a good concern. I have 5 myself. I try to cut their meat before I bring it to the table. my oldest 2 (9 & 6) are pretty good at running to the kitchen for whatever is needed. But I may start off like you are saying. I know eventually it will all settle in, but to start off it might be good to eat meals w/o the distraction!
  15. :eek:Happy Birthday, Lisa!!!
  16. my dr. said the slim fast optima, just under 200 calories, so thatt is what i have been doing!
  17. Laura That is wonderful! Check out the August 2008 group!!
  18. I am interested in finding out about my fellow August All-Stars! I'll start. I am a stay at home mom to 5 awesome, rambunctious, talkative kids. My oldest is 9 and she is going into the 4th grade. My next daughter is 6. She was adopted from China at 10 months. She'll be in first grade this year. My only son is 4 and is starting preschool this fall:thumbup:. My next daughter is four also. She was adopted from China at 20 months of age. She's going to preschool too:thumbup:. My baby is 3 this year. While her brother and sister are at preschool, she is going to learn how to behave in public. At least that is the plan...don't tell her:eek:! I used to teach 8th grade English. Now I take care of the kids. I love to read. I make and sell girls' hair bows for fun. I am married to one awesome man (but don't tell him I said so:wink2:) I decided to have this surgery because nothing else was working for me. My hubby and kids are all thin and fit and I just can't keep up with them anymore!! I want to see my kids grow up! My cholesterol is through the roof and I have a family history of heart disease. Okay, who is next????
  19. I am a week from my surgery and starting to have neg. thoughts.... What if this doesn't work for me either?? What if I am spending a TON of money and then don't lose weight this way either? I know, if I do what I am supposed to do, I will. But it is pretty darn scary. Anyone else in this with me? Or I am I just being paranoid?
  20. I had this same discussion with a friend at church yesterday. My surgery is on Aug. 5. I think it is a pretty normal fear to have.......
  21. What about a graham cracker? We give them to babies because they get mushy really quickly.....just a thought....
  22. Wow! Definitely presurgery anxiety!! Hang in there, it'll be great!!!
  23. Shingles are caused by the chicken pox virus. So I don't think would be a result of your surgery. Congrats on your band!
