  1. Had by Bypass on the 16th Dec. Lost 15lb in the first month and 4 lb in the last month! I'm disabled with reduced mobility ( in a wheelchair) so realize it will be slow going. My surgeon at my checkup actually advised me to get out walking! Anyway even though I thought I would have lost more and it does upset me, I have just got to realize it is going just not as fast as I liked.?

  9. Hi everyone, I had my By Pass done on December 16th 2019 and for the first two weeks after the operation I lost 12 lbs in weight. Since then I have only lost 4 lbs in 3 weeks and I even make sure that I have (75g) 3 times a day 25g of protein shake that I make with half water and half milk in the glass totalling 200ml and I also drink plenty of water each day, and eat 1 or 2 low fat yogurts and a bowl of soup each day. I am in a wheelchair and I can’t exercise much due to a Stroke, but I try. So.... please if anyone might have an idea as to what it is I am doing wrong, I would be very grateful to hear from them as it is really starting to get me down now. I am now beginning to think it is maybe because I’m British ? as everyone else in the world seems to be having much better luck than me ?. Thank you so much for your help and take care.
  10. Hi everyone, I had my by-pass operation 3 weeks ago and lost 14 pounds in the first 2 weeks after it. During the 3rd week I noticed that my weight loss had somehow stopped, and at the end of the 3rd week I had put 2 pounds back on. I am still on liquid foods such as Water, Milk, Clear Soup, Yoghurt, Jelly. I only have each day a Yoghurt or a Jelly for one meal, and Clear Soup for another meal. In between I drink Water or Milk. I had a Stroke 22 months ago and I am now in a wheelchair, so I am unfortunately very limited to being able to do exercise. I just can’t understand why all of a sudden my weight has stopped coming off me, as I eat less than a rabbit does. I am not even starting to feel hungry anymore. I was wondering if anyone else has gone through the same problem as me before. I’m sure that there is a perfect reason for this strange weight loss to stop like this, but I just don’t know what it is. Any help would be extremely grateful. Thank you.

  13. Hi All I had a gastric bypass done on the 16th December 2019 and followed all the guidelines. I have been having soup, yogurt or jelly but now before I go on to the puree foods stage I find I am hungry all the time. I was told that this wouldn't happen. I can also drink as much as I want all the time. I am just confused as to why I am hungry all the time, when at first I was always full. Has anyone else felt like this? Weight loss has stopped now. I have lost a total of 12Lb after gaining 2LB last few days. Thankyou
