  1. Are you getting your protein in? I just had a little stall and I started eating (drinking) more protein and started losing again. I think that could be head hunger you have or the protein could also help with that.
  2. I had the sleeve and have not had this problem since surgery. Possibly the gallbladder causing this pain though. For me it was right stomach area below the breast and the aching would radiate to my back as well. I had gallstones and had my gallbladder removed in 2015
  3. I’m glad you’ve found something you like!! I bought the Isopure unflavored protein powder and so far I’ve only mixed it with my water and a crystal light packet, can barely taste it! Next week when I start purées I will try mixing it into my food. I also got the fairlife chocolate protein shakes and I actually like them, tastes like chocolate milk. Other than that I’m good! I think I had hit a little stall because I wasn’t eating much but now that I’ve started on a protein powder and shake that I like, I’ve started losing again
  4. I’m glad you’re doing well!! This has been a great week for me as far as feeling good. My annoying incision finally closed all the way after I bought some steri strips which in turn stopped the achy feeling there. I’m over liquids but finally found a shake I enjoy, the Fairlife chocolate shakes are pretty good, and then only a few more days till purées for me!! How are purées going for you? Made any special recipes? I was allowed to be off till next Thursday but I agree with you, I will return next Monday as well because I think getting back to my routine will be good!!
  5. My first day back is next Monday so I’ll let you know! I haven’t really needed my midday nap lately so I feel like my energy is up, been out and about running errands without feeling too tired. So hopefully that’s how work will go too
  6. You’re doing great!! Wish I could get 100oz of water in lol but I’ve gotten a lot better this week. Great job on the protein too!
  7. Finally ordered some isopure unflavored protein powder, it’ll be here tomorrow. Hope it truly has no taste because I just can’t with the protein shakes I’ve had thus far. Basically living off of those oikos triple zero Greek yogurts for my protein lol. I also got an order of the vitamin patches in the mail today, hopefully they work/I like them. My chewable vitamin is DISGUSTING lol
  8. Lol well fingers crossed ??????
  9. Lol congrats! My hubs had been doing intermittent fasting and lost 30lbs and I could definitely tell. We don’t realize how the fat from the pelvis blocks some of that length too lol
  10. I was sleeved 12/16 as well. Sometimes for me it really is just head hunger, I don’t physically feel hungry although my stomach has growled a few times. Smelling food or even cooking for my family and not eating it is killing me lol. I’m on full liquids for another week before I can start purées..I can’t wait. I have bitten and chewed a piece of baked chicken and spit it out (not advising you to do this or saying it’s okay) and it helped me feel a little better, my husband was laughing at me but he just doesn’t understand lol. I can have cream of wheat and that’s been a life saver for my breakfasts, warm with a little bit more tester than broth, maybe try that if it’s allowed for you?
  11. Hope you’re feeling better! Gatorade zero really healed me with dehydration. I not liking any of the protein drinks, just gonna get plain protein powder to add to my drinks and foods
  12. Kansas City, Missouri sleeved 12/16/19 by Dr. Dunshee
  13. @ChubRub I went 2 days post op, I would have died if I haven’t gone by now lol. I took miralax though the first day home, haven’t needed it since the first few days though!
  14. I wish I could actually enjoy the protein shakes, they’re so sweet to me. I bought premier and then a six star protein powder. Think I’ll go ahead and buy some unflavored powder to add to foods. I’ve been craving a salad too!! Can’t wait until I can have one. See I have 1 more week of full liquids before I start purées. It’s crazy how every dr has different plans to follow post op!
  15. Was sleeved 12/16, feeling pretty good. Over the full liquid diet for sure though lol. No pain. I have 1 incision that still aches and is draining but dr said it’s not infected so I’ve been watching it closely ?
  16. It is pretty quiet in here! Hope that means everyone is doing good and feeling pretty “normal”!! I’m feeling like time is dragging lol. I have another week of full liquids and the purees/soft foods for 3 weeks..that seems so long lol. I’ve been looking up recipes/meal ideas so I can be prepared to go back to work in a couple of weeks. I do still need/enjoy 1 nap a day but I’m also not sleeping all throughout the night. I ended up with a cold and sore throat that keeps me these last few days. Had 1 episode with nausea because I took my chewable vitamin first thing in the morning on an empty stomach..thank God for Zofran. I ordered some vitamin matches because my chewable is so gross. Hopefully I like the patches! Hope everyone is doing well!
  17. Yup sip slow and like AJ Tylo said, definitely get to walking, it’ll help you feel better and get that feeling moving out of your chest.
  18. So I’m a week out of surgery and I use my heating pad constantly on the large incision area, right/middle belly area. It’s the only area that still aches when I twist, turn, move. Heating pads are bad for this?
  19. Congratulations, so exciting!!
  20. That’s what I’ve started using. I like it because you can set goals and if you track your food properly you can keep up with protein, carbs, calories..etc. I had surgery 12/16 and started full liquids yesterday so tryna make sure I stay on top of my protein & water intake
  21. I agree with Jinnjuice, try the powder form of miralax. That’s what’s been working for me with no nausea/vomiting
  22. Hey Alejandra! I was just sleeved 12/16 and feel like this is a great group full of surgery buddies! If you have any questions or want to just talk, I’m here!
  23. I’m glad ballet worked out for you. I went ahead and started the miralax everyday too for now. I’m struggling reaching 64oz too. I’m trying to do better and track my water and food on the baritastic app. I had a carnation light start powder mixed with almond milk for breakfast and that was okay, had a good amount of protein but I only drank 1/2. I bought some oikos triple zero Greek yogurts and I actually like those, 15g of protein each! That’s all I had today though ? think I need to eat a little more
  24. I had the urge but not like normal. I took miralax on day 2 post op, at home, I took it again the next morning and went about an hour after that. I say be prepared to incorporate it into your diet now lol
