Fkn up Already - 1 week post op

Australia here and when i spoke to hospital dietician the procedure is different between surgeons as well as countries! Mine is 2 weeks clear, 2 weeks puree, 2 weeks soft foods. But I can have optifast straight off I was told if i pushed it and ate solid food too soon, there was a chance the stomach staples might burst which would result in many months of ICU. So please be careful!
  3. No thanksgiving in aus, but i refused to go to any events or places where i might be triggered to eat. Bit of a recluse but paid off. I should be able to eat some foods by christmas so i wont feel like im being left out

    so scared

For my operation I had a tube inserted in my nose down into stomach that drained the blood. I am so sorry this happened to you, but its manageable, you're in good hands, and very soon you will be onto recovery Please try to surround yourself with your support people around you and know that in time the new you will be experience a much better life than led you to here. Also I find the drugs they give you can be a bit of a downer!
  7. I also have the same issue but only a week after surgery, but i think the pouch is fine and healing its just not fully healed so sometimes the signals and wires get a bit messed up. Your body has gone through a trauma so it will react differently. Also I am worried about dumping syndrome so keep it down a bit

    Pre-op cheating??

I also cheated 2 or 3 times before but tried to restrict it to proteins, or food that wouldn't knock me out of ketosis from the shakes. I think you are ok, but get back on the diet and make sure you're very strict in the days before the op because I think you need to be absolutely empty in the stomach. I lost about 10kg (22 pounds) in the 3 weeks before the surgery.

    november sleeve

Hi I had my sleeve last wednesday. Was in there for 2 nights only had some shots of morphine night before. No issues and able to drink and swallow fine and no pain now. My question is from what ive read and heard, it should be hard for me to drink liquids but to me i can drink fine with no issues. Worried maybe my sleeve might be big? Or is it one of those, the body is healing and inflamed and it will take a while to settle

I HATE I GOT THIS STUPID SURGERY!

I have my op in a few days and the past 3 weeks of dieting and shakes has been hell. You have gone through a major life change and you have taken out sugars and other things. Your brain needs some time to settle. Everyone will get the "am i doing the right thing" or regret because its new and uncomfortable but in a few weeks it will be the norm.
