  1. Drink your water. Distract yourself. You can do it!
  2. Hi Crystal, I'm so sorry you're still feeling pain. I know about those stomach cramps....like someone grabbing your stomach and squeezing. I was sleeved on 11/20 and I still do have a bit of pain. I've learned to drink lukewarm to warm liquids....I noticed when I drank cold liquids I would nearly double over in pain. Also, wearing a binder or girdle might help support the tummy area. I wore mine when I got home and it helped a lot, especially when I coughed. Maybe you could even try a warmish heating pad against the area. I hope this helps a little.
  3. I'm doing well physically....the pain on my right side is much less than it was when I got home. My biggest problem is getting enough fluids. It seems no matter how much I'm supposed to sip, I forget, and end up not meeting water goals for the day. I'm going to just set a timer for my phone to remind me. Same with the protein shakes. Other than that, I'm feeling really good!! How's by you?
  4. You will be fine. This was my first surgery ever and I was nervous as hell. It will go well for you. Good luck!
  5. Hey all! I'm still in hospital, but looking to get discharged today. Been walking some and using that old air blower thingies. Not a lot of pain, except in my back. Soreness on the belly but not unbearable. I'll be glad to get unhooked from all these wires!! So very happy to start this leg of my journey!
  6. I'm up tomorrow! 8:30 (EST) surgery. I'm excited to finally make this step!
  7. You look GREAT!!!! Congratulations!![emoji3] [emoji3] [emoji3]
  8. Happy Birthday! ??? Sending positive thoughts that they will get you right and out of the hospital soon.❤️
  9. That's awesome news! How do you feel physically??
  10. My procedure isn't until the 20th, but on my post op information sheet, the doctor did say to use Miralax or ducolax. But, be sure to ask your doctor because everyone's case is different. Also, congratulations on your procedure!!??
  11. Hi! Getting sleeved November 20 in NJ. Been on liquids since Nov. 7 and really looking forward to the procedure. I'm already seeing changes in my relationship with food....the rest of my family (3 teens and a hubby) can chow down on regular foods right in front of me and I'm not that bothered, because I'm keeping my eye on the prize. I have arthritic hips (sports when young, 3 pregnancies and obesity) and I'm hoping the weight loss will delay the need for a double hip replacement!
  12. I am so happy to hear this!! Such good news. ??
  13. Hey there Bill! Good luck to you also on the liquid diet. I'm on Day 6, and it does get easier....well a little. I just drown the cravings in water!!
  14. So glad to hear you're doing well!
  15. To be clear, I'm on cream soups, lettuce, celery, cucumbers and shakes. I throw some protein water in there for some variety.[emoji1]
  16. Day five and I've lost 7 lbs so far.
  17. Congratulations! I couldn't stop smiling when I heard my surgery was approved. Start working on your mindset now and congratulations again on your new journey!!
  18. Same!! We are surgery twins for sure.
  19. Hey there! I'm on the morning of the 20th also!
  20. I'm planning on taking PJ tops and really loose pants, plus a front closure sports bra for the girls. And underwear, of course. Anything loose and stretchy. It's winter here in NJ, but since the hospital has valet service, I'm leaving my coat in the car.
  21. Hi everyone! I'm scheduled for November 20. Today is the 5th day of my pre op liquid diet. I'm really excited to take the first step to a healthier life!!
  22. Hi everyone, Brand new here and am scheduled for surgery on November 20th. I'm on day 3 of the liquid diet and I'm beginning to look forward to the cream of chicken soup?. I've been in this process since May of this year, so I'm pretty excited the real countdown has begun!
