I am a 25 year-old woman married to a 23 year-old man. I love working with children and I have experience as a Registered Behavioral Therapist. My husband is a Navy Sailor. Although I have a surgery date, which is December 9th, 2019, I am not 100% confident (set) on getting the surgery. I have been overweight since I was in elementary school and I have always struggled with my weight. I have tried various diets without success. I believe the surgery could help me with resolving my chronic back pain, my fear that I am not able to get pregnant, and my low body confidence. I also believe that the lifestyle change required for the surgery will decrease my chances of developing diabetes and other health issues.
I hope to find support and information through BariatricPal. I am a very kind, open person and I hope to find support and share experiences with other members of the bariatric community.
