  1. So how did the big group that all had surgery on the 17th do? I have not been on a great deal.
  2. Frustr8, I did come home yesterday. I feel like I have a really tight band around my torso making it hard to draw a deep breath or move around. It is however better every day. I am actually enjoying my first protein shake (yesterday it hurt to much) I agree with you and I will find a new kind of okay! As always thank-you for you love and support!

  5. I have noticed a few posts on clothing recently and wonder if it would be possible to set up a clothing swap forum? Or if it would even be feasable?
  6. I am home, and glad to be here. They said a had a Vertical Banded Gastroplasty and it was done terribly. They took out all of my stomach. Just want to rest. Hugs too all for your support!

  8. They ended up taking out my gallbladder, because was adhered to stomach. The way I understand they took my stomach. Trying to through all the get put of jail things Has several tests yesterday and there was some fluid, so off I go on a walk. Hope everyone on the 16 and 17th did !

  10. I am having a bypass done tomorrow. I am on a clear liquid diet and am able to have 5 protein shakes a day. BEst wishes for tomorrow!
  11. I have been drinking Premier Protein, it has a lot of flavors, I am actually drinking decaf coffee with the vanilla protein as my creamer, not to bad.
  12. For sure! I am keeping busy by doing house work today and getting everything together for the hospital. I hope I sleep tonight!
  13. We will have to check in with one another later this week. I don't have a time for surgery , just a check in time, but I assume it will be about 7:45 or so. All this waiting is almost over!

  16. I had my pre op appointment yesterday and met with the dietitian. I got my surgery time of 5:45, I am first (gulp). I just finished 16 oz of water and a protein drink. Now to get busy and pass the time. I am getting pretty nervous!
  17. I am getting nervous for sure, I start my liquid diet tomorrow!
  18. I developed gastritis, then they found a fistula, and also GERD. I got my original sleeve in 1998.
  19. My surgeons office called me to let me know my insurance fully approved my Monday surgery. I was pretty sure they would, but it is still nice to hear those words!
  20. I still to this day have trouble eating with a group because I am not mindfully eating and something always makes me feel stuck. Guess part of my 21 year old sleeve is still working.
  21. After I lost the weight 20 years ago, my thyroid was all over the place. I also was diagnosed with Adrenalin Insufficiency. Eventually I had the right side of my thyroid removed and now my left side is full of cysts on nodules. My thyroid numbers have been completely normal though. It's a watching and waiting game.
