  1. So excited for you! Looking forward to hearing all about it!
  2. I am sure you will get a date soon! So exciting isn't it?
  3. Hello and welcome! I had my surgery in Springfield, where will you have yours? I have had cervical surgery and I would think you would want to recover from that before taking a sleeve on. I took about 12 weeks to heal from my neck surgery, but everyone is different. Have a good day!
  4. I did hit a wall last week, but am losing again this week. It will pass!
  5. You look amazing! Well done!
  6. Took my blood pressure this morning and it was 96/68. I bought a new water bottle that has markings that show how much you have drank and when to drink. The last 2 days I have gotten 64 oz of water in and am wondering if that is enough?
  7. I love Swanson's Sipping broth. It has 45 calories and 9 grams of protein, and it is delicious!
  8. I have been blessed m whole life with curly hair (sometimes I curse it) But I have been following the "Curly Girl Method" and I belong to a FB group called Curly Girls where you can find much info on products and such. Your hair is beautiful!
  9. Congratulations Mike! You seem to be full of determination and I can't wait to follow your journey!
  10. I love that you donated your breast milk. So many babies benefit from your donation!
  11. I just took a trip at 3 weeks out that was 4 hours one way. It was kind of rough on me, but I did it. (I wasn't driving because of the pain meds)
  12. The Bariatric store carries them! I have thought about it.
  13. Oh 8 hope you are healed soon!
  14. Following! I am only 3 weeks post op but have that same pain. Hope you get some answers!
  15. I had a TT back in 1999 and the muscles are really painful, for a few weeks at least I couldn't stand up straight because it was so tight.
  16. I started pureed yesterday and had refried beans for breakfast, cottage cheese a couple of hours later, a protein shake for lunch and tuna salad for dinner. Since I had a revision the chewing part is already a habit and everything went down well. You will get there and it will e habit before you know it!
  17. You are gorgeous and your food pics made me hungry ?. Great job!
  18. I am easing my way in to pureed foods here are a couple links that someone else posted: https://bariatricmealprep.com/bariatric-recipes/ https://www.bariatriceating.com/bariatric-recipes.html https://www.bariatriccookery.com/ https://www.bariatriccookery.com/category/recipes/page/2/ Good luck!
  19. Yesterday I spent the day in the ER. I had called my Surgeons office because I had severe pain and hard time drawing a breath. So I underwent a esophgram and a chest Xray. After 2 hours they called and told me to go to the ER. I got in pretty quickly and the first thing the DR told me was that it sounded like a blood clot. Scared me to death! I sure didn't want to be on blood thinners for life! But, after the chest CT they told me it was pleurisy, whew! I had started weaning myself off of pain killers a day and a half earlier and when I got home I took a dose and felt much better. Has anyone else had pleurisy after surgery?
  20. I am currently taking a melt-able/chew-able multi vitamin, a chewy calcium citrate, and b12 under my tongue. I understood that it is easier to absorb and less irritating to take the chewables while healing. I need to start taking my Vit D again.
  21. Tammy I have that same pain today and am also waiting for a call back from the surgeon. I know that I had an abscess when I left the hospital, so it might be that. Looking forward to what you find out!
  22. My pain increased through the night and I am having trouble drawing a breath. Called the Surgeons office and when his PA comes in they said they will likely send me for a chest ct and an esaugagram today. They said I had an abscess at my follow up appointment. Anyway the good news is I am below 200 now, so celebrating that!
