Just so happens that I was cleaning out my purse tonight. I found a old beat up lap-band brochure. I read for curiosity and noticed one of the things listed was....lap-banded persons will not experience dumping. I still don't know what it means to dump:confused: . lol. Hi Guys!! Yes, feeling like myself again, thanks. On a good drug til next Monday then back to my doc's, then a ultrasound a week later to check for kidney stones. I think I sould go visit the emerg doc and ask her to pay me for my weeks worth of lost wages, dont you??? Just catching up on all the stuff that got left last week. I think my illness kick-started weight loss again for me, thats neat. How's everyone doing on there Christmas shopping?? Yuck, Yuck, Yuck, I got the shivers. I too, do not like to feel my port. Like if I bend over a chair or something leans into it, I can feel it. Yucky feeling. It is wonderful how we have access to adjust the bands, but yes the whole fill thing is creepy.

I hate housework too, Maria. I instill a Christmas rule to myself, that no decorations come out until the house is spotless. It's a good rule, but then I get stressed.

What I like to do green is order what I think I want, which is always waaaaayyyy tooooo much, then take home leftovers. Sometimes my leftovers lasts for days.

You guys are are sooo swell. I am feeling much better, but weak from lying around. I still have to go for an ultrasound, but the meds are working for now. Mandi - I really don't think I was drinking enough water. But I ABSOLUTELY will be now!!!! Ya, I did lose 2 pounds this week, but I shoulda lose 10!!! of course. The real dumb thing about the hospital was that I told them I think it might be my kidneys when I first got there.

green, do they remove the saline during your fill to see how many cc's are there? They should, this way you know if your leaking. I'm pretty sure your not, it will be just that magic cc you hit. Sooner or later (hopefully sooner)

*week from hell* First of all I'm sorry I havent been around this week, I have been pretty sick. I went to hospital on Monday in pain. They diagnosed me with back pain, and sent me home with painkillers and a anti-inflammatory. I told them I didnt think it was my back, but they didnt listen. Spent the whole week in bed, with fever and chills, didnt eat anything, it was awful. Finally got in to my own doc on Friday, she went nuts. Apparrently I have a massive kidney infection and she's almost positive kidney stones as well. She said she's never seen urine so bad. So, she put me on proper meds. She couldnt believe that they mis-diagnosed me soo badly. Anyway, I'm feeling better today, thank goodness!! I was going mental, or mentalier(?). It was quite funny though, going through the hospital scene with the lapband. I had to keep explaining what it was. I forgot to mention, that when I arrived at the hospital, the pain was so bad I was throwing up. So first thing out of my mouth was 'stop the nasausa', then had to explain why. It was different, surprisingly positive actually. So..................anybody miss me?

Oh shit, not a McFlurry. Don't you know there more addicting than heroine???? LOL Sorry, I know all about comforting stress. Try not to get stuck in the cycle, break away asap. Just promise yourself a real nice treat at the end of the week if your good. Be kind to yourself. If you were a skinny girl, nobody, including yourself would bat a eyelash if you had a ice-cream after a shitty day. Just eat it, and get out.
