So far I’ve decided not to tell I was approved twice and they were canceled because I had a seizure the week before ?! The one person I did bring it up to said surgery is not the answer just eat better and exercise..... she doesn’t have 210 lbs to lose ☹️

Ok my goals :
1. To fit in my bath tub and have bubbles

2. To have my kids not be embarrassed to be seen with me in public ☹️

3. To get out of the house and maybe meet someone who finds me love able ???

4. To fit in my skinny clothes I’ve been saving !!!

5. To wear my wide calf boots my daughter bought be that won’t zipper!!!

6. To not worry about fitting in a booth or breaking a chair

7. To go shopping for new clothes and makeup and feel beautiful

I wasn’t worried during the whole three year process of trying to get it done. A week before my surgery I lost my mind and was all of a sudden scared that I might die in surgery(literally hit me like a brick wall). My mom(who also had gastric bypass had the same dr as me) told me it’s like taking a bandaid off for them. I even looked up the chances of death(I thought it was stupid of me but it oddly made me feel better) and you have a higher chance of dying from gallbladder or hip surgery. I was so scared I even watched a video of the surgery being performed to see what might go wrong. My mom said I was crazy but they did it with ease and it made me feel better ?

Oh no I just read it got pushed back! I am so sorry they did that to me three times and each time I was super devastated. Don’t worry keep your head up! You’ll be going in for surgery before you know it.

My consultation was canceled today I’m pretty bummed out !!! I can’t drive and medical transportation didn’t get there paper work together in time ?? so now I have to wait another month ☹️

I think as long as I keep something healthy I can grab I’ll be find and I love almond mild too ?

Yes the last time I tried for surgery I did the group therapy and it was wonderful and I plan and going again

I can relate...I'm afraid of PMS cravings and that feeling that nothing will satisfy my hunger. I am completely aware that my cravings are based in hormonal fluctuations but I can only wait and see.

pretty much nobody dies from this. Weight loss surgeries are very safe these days - it's not like it was back in the 60s or 70s. Mortality rate on RNY is 0.3%. VSG is even lower (I can't remember that one since I didn't get VSG, so I wasn't paying attention). At any rate, you have at least a 99.7% chance of pulling through just fine. And you will!

This is my 3rd time going for the sleeve , I’ve mentioned this before! I was so afraid of dying during surgery the first two times . Yes that fear is still there of course but my want of a better life is more than this fear !!! Right now I’m concerned about my willpower! I eat fine during the day no cheating no over eating! But when I wake up in the middle of the night I go crazy for carbs and the worst food ☹️

I’m choosing the sleeve because I’m on a lot of medications and they mentioned something about the absorption is better with the sleeve

I look at my future sleeve as an accountability partner that I am not ever going to be able to get rid of! I think and HOPE that having that mindset will help my willpower. Good luck to you!

I’d like to fit in an airline seat without spilling over into the seat next to me.
I’d like not to have to ask for the seatbelt extender.
I’d like to not have to scan the room for armless chairs.
I’d like to be able to sit in a comfy armchair and be able to get out of it easily.
I want to be able to move that “50 lb” thingy on the doctor’s scale to the left... twice, even 3 times! YAY!

I just thought of another one, to take a sit-down bath,not displace so much water must be nice to not see the water rise so much you're not afraid it will over- flow. And then after soaking in the warm relaxing water, to not have to call someone to pop you free enough that you can get out.
Maybe,i should continue being a shower-er and just let the warm spray rain down on my sore areas, but dang it, I want it all!

When I lost weight before I was down to a 18 and I looked really good ! People were complicating me and I felt good !! My now ex husband never made a comment or statement ? This is my 3rd time going for the surgery ! I think the first 2 were because every dr said I needed it ! I have Epilepsy with uncontrollable seizures and the last 2 times my seizures stopped my surgery! This time I want it for me and for making me happy and healthy!! The sad thing is yes I’m really fat and people are judging me from that ! If I was skinny I would be noticed more ! Society is not fair but life only happens once and I had a crappy 25 years and I want the next chapter to be wonderful!!!!

Alternatively here (maybe its just a NY thing) if you lose weight too quickly without an explanation people think terminal illness , bad relationship or drug use
Worse yet they aren't afraid to ask you, tell others. Why do *they* care so much?
