  2. Hey Melissa, how is it going. I bought the whey protein variety pack to try some flavors. I really like the cappucino. but I use the costco premier protein drinks 30 g protein in one they come in chocolate or vanilla, I add a banana or peach to them in the blender and one ice club. Delicious. Try Starbucks chocolate protein drinks. yummy. You've lost alot of weight. How is your family, did you get moved.
  3. Nioxin shampoo is what alot of cancer patients use, I am taking Biotin and also using Nioxin, and take all your vitamins, so your body gets its nutrients and doesnt got in shock mode so extreme.

I'm 11 days out, it gets better every day. Be careful when you drink to not take in air, I discovered I did that alot before surgery. The bubbly feeling still comes every once in a while, you have to remember you stomach has to heal. My suggestion would be to get up and walk around, outside if possible, to get your mind off it. Every day it will get better, I'm down 10 lbs and feeling good. You can do it too.
  5. Well on Friday I started to itch a bit under my right breast and by Saturday afternoon I had a full blown rash under both breasts, after much research and speaking with Melissa we decided I had a allergic reaction to the Cipro, I have been miserable itching like crazy. I had a heat rash once before and it is 10 times more irritating. Found some Predisone in the medicine cabinet and have taken two today and the itching is better. Still there though and the rash is huge. it said on the internet it takes 7-10 to develop an allergic reaction to antibiotics and they were right. Hopefully by tonight I will be able to sleep, its been so painful I havent been sleeping or putting on many clothes. As far as my VSG, things are going great.... down 10 lbs. Hope no one else got this.
  6. Way to go Sister!!!! 10 lbs down !!! When was the last time you lost 10 lbs so quickly. What is your plan for the scales, Im thinking twice a week. I cant believe I actually want to weigh, that is just so wierd. Usually I avoid the scales like a plaque. So funny.... Dont worry about eating too much, you cant your stomach wont let you. I found I can eat about 3/4 cup Soup, you got to remember alot of that is liquid so it processes quickly, when you move to the soft foods, your intake will be more limited because our stomach will fill up and hold it longer. Your doing FANTASTIC!!!!
  7. I dont think its a blot clot, but check with your doctor in the morning.
  8. I have restless leg so my legs are always tingling, so far I have felt fine. I got home on the 22nd and had my surgery on the 19th
  9. Ok, I couldnt stand it anymore, I got on the scales this morning, down 7.1 lbs. Have anyone else gotten on the scales, if so lets hear about it.
  10. Hello Ruth, I also had a lapband and had to have emergency surgery back in 2008 to remove it and like you I gained back 30 of the 57 lbs I had lots, (which was not down to my goal weight at the time of removal). I had the sleeve on the 19th in Mexico and am home now in Moses Lake, WA. I have been home since 6pm Sunday and have found that a hot shower running on my back feels really good. I have steered away from exercise that requires bending and twisting and have been walking as much as I can. I met alot of people in Mexico that have been sleeved and love it and I dont regret it, I had so many problems with the band. Would love to talk more. Where do you live?
  11. Hi everyone, hope you all had a good trip home. I was exhausted by the time we got to the house. It was a pleasure meeting each and every one of you and I look forward to maintaining our relationship and supporting each other with exciting journey. I was hoping I could get input on your vitamins and protein powders you will be using. I currently am going to buy the costco protein shakes but wanted to hear more about other options and also about the vitamins you will be using. Thanks!! take care..
  12. Good morning, I'm actually doing pretty darn good. We got home from our travels about 6:30pm last night and I rested most of the evening. Up this morning reading my materials and figuring out protein powders, etc., vitamins etc. Not hungry but hate the anti biotic pills, How did everyone else do on their journey home? Also, what is the protein powder everyone was talking about that doesnt taste like anything? Hope everyone is doing well, lets hear from you.
