1. Hello all, I have not been here is ages. I was banded six years ago come the end of this month. I have lost and gained - lost and gained, usually the same 10 pounds. I have just come from getting a long needed fill and will be back on the wagon of using my band as a tool to get to my goal. Just wanted to share.
2. It has been almost 2 years and I am experiencing hair loss. Not just a little, I'm talking the kind where you want to pick it up and make a rug out of it. Has anyone else had this happen. I certainly get lots of protien. So I don't think that the problem.
3. I need some advise. I have not been able to hold down anything for 2 days. Very nauseated. I fear band slippage but I also think maybe this is a virus. This morning, I was able to get fluids down but still have nausea. Can this be a sign of a slipped band? Is the nausea one of the symptoms of a slipped band. I have PB'd alot lateley. Fells like the restriction has increased last few weeks causing the PBing. Is that normal to have restriction fluctuate. Then again - Maybe swelling is the cause for nausea. Any help or words of wisdom would be appreciated.
4.

I recently was diagnossed with Arthritus and given a presciption of NSAIDS (high dose). I find these do not agree with me. Why do they work differently on banded patients. I don't understand why if the band is outside the stomach how this changes what goes in. ???? Anyone have answers to what may be a stupid question?

5. Thanks Sallyjo, It is a relief to know I'm not alone. Congrats on being so close to goal.
6. Helop I had my 4th fill about 4 1/2 weeks ago and the last 2 days hardly anything goes down. liquids do but very slowly. I am a 3cc in a 4 cc band. Why would this be??? Can't restriction increase this much after this much time has passed???
7. I had to give up Sushi. I found this out very recently and am very disappointed. I love the rolls. Spider roll, calif. roll, etc. I have tried but the seaweed wrap just won't chew small enough and the rice is very sticky.
8. After haggling over the price of meat, an enraged butcher beats you to death with a frozen beef tongue.
9. I was banded by Dr. Ferrari 2/27/06. I found him to be a very good, kind and caring dr. I would highly recommend him. I go for my 1st fill this Friday, 4/7 and am looking forward to it alot. Donna
10. What wonderful information this thread has given me. I am scheduled for my 1st fill on 4/7 and can't wait. I have slowly worked my way up to eating alot again. Surgery was not that long ago. I'm not so sure this is normal.?? Maybe someone else has gone thru same?
11. OK - Someone said potatoes and booze???? Count me in. Those are two of my favorite things...
12. Deseretmom, I had a ct scan last Thursday. They said all looked good. I was seeing Dr. Naaman as my dr. has been out of the country. I called this morning and my dr. is back in town and I have an appt. at 2:45 PM today. Maybe I'll have some answers. I also have started getting pain in front.
13. Thanks Xann77 and DonnaB - I will ask about the stitches. I appreciate the info. My dr is out of the country til next week. I'm seeing dr. Naaman while he's out. If its just a stitch, I don't think that will show on CT scan, or will it? I don't know, just can't function with pain so bad. They should call with results, I'll keep you posted. Thanks for everyones input.
14. It dull not sharp. Breathing, moving, twisting, etc. doesn't change. Does not feel like its in the muscle. It's located in the middle of my back, right at bra strap area. It does feel somewhat better lying down. Especially if I take a dose of the lortab liquid. But can't live like that. I just got off the phone with dr and they want to do a cat scan. I'm really nervous something has gone wrong.
15. I am still having really bad pains in my back. Dr says liquid Tylenol and walk. I am doing all of this and still have bad bad pain. Pain is dull nagging sort of pain. Nothing sharp. No fever. I am almost 2 weeks post op. Is this normal gas pains?? Has anyone had this experience??
