  1. I was sleeved on the 25th too and I'm just getting some energy back. Different for everyone, but like@gabybab said it will get better!
  2. I'm a week post op today and woke up yesterday with my left upper leg swollen and sore. Called my Dr and they told me to go to the ER for an ultrasound to be sure there's no blood clots. Thankfully there wasn't. I have to have another one done in a week. The ER Dr said it's just muscular swelling. I go to my surgeon Wednesday so I'll see what he says.
  3. I was sleeved the same day and am having the same pain and issue. I have yet to be able to lay in bed, I've been staying on the couch. Moving and drinking as much as I can but that big one is a nightmare [emoji31] My doctor said he had to make it bigger than he expected because of the size of my stomach. We'll get thru this!!
  4. Hang in there! I'm still really sore and don't ever feel like drinking. I'm making myself sip very often to make sure I'm hydrated. I don't want to end up back in the hospital. I'm not allowed shakes until Saturday. I'm on clear liquids. I'm surprised about the CPAP. My Dr had me bring mine to the hospital and told me to keep using it till the pulmonologist tells me not to. Which would be after another sleep study. Like I said hang in there! We got this! Just take it a sip at a time [emoji4]
  5. Hey! I have the same insurance, but I don't know if the cover skin removal. Someone told me along this process that they do as long as it it medically necessary. But I didn't hear that from the insurance company so I don't know how accurate it is. I had my surgery Monday and they put me on a new blood pressure pill. It's much smaller and I can get it down. They will tell you what you can and can't take. Where are you having it done? I'm in South Jersey. I don't know about everyone else but I have been very happy to have the help the past few days since I've been home. Walking and sipping can take a lot out of you so help is nice, but I don't know that it's required for each person. Have you seen a nutritionist yet? They will explain the whole pre-op diet for you. And don't worry about the number on a scale, worry about your health and how you feel. Your going to do great!
  6. Had my surgery yesterday at 339.
  7. Survived my first night after surgery! Doing well (I think lol) haven't been allowed to drink anything yet until I see my doctor. Just keep using mouth swans and rinsing my mouth wait the dry mouth wash. It's been very helpful! Hope all the other 25ths are doing well!! We go this! Just keep walking!
  8. I should be going into surgery at 11! Just saw my doctor and have all my ivs hooked up! ? Good luck to all the other 25ths happening today [emoji171]
  9. Good luck! I have to be at the hospital in an hour!
  10. I'm scheduled for the 25th too! Can't wait either!
  11. I had a horrible headache for a few days when I first started my pre-op. I hope it passes for you! 3 day left!!
  12. My Dr did the same biopsy, so I assumed it was common lol! Glad all went well! Do you have a date?
  13. Yes! I'm on my 9th day. How about you? I do all liquids on Sunday.
  14. Awesome! 7 days isn't too bad. All shakes? I have 3 shakes a day, raw vegetables and one "meal" a day. Thanks! Same to you!
  15. I'm 4 days into my pre-op diet (surgery 2/25!) And I'm just curious how do you know if your pre-op diet does what it's supposed to? Has anyone had any issues surgery day of your liver being too large?
  16. No not potato chips, carrot chips. Just raw carrots cut like chips lol. I can have raw raw and steamed vegetables and protein shakes, and one "meal" a day.
  17. I'm on day 2 of pre-op, I know what your feeling all too well. The headaches are the worst. I just keep drinking more water and carrot chips are my new best friend lol. We'll get thru it like many have before us and many will after! Positive thinking!
  18. That's awesome!!!
  19. Hey Reina! I'm the 25th too. Just started my pre-op diet today. How are you making out on all liquids?
  20. Glad you enjoyed but sorry to hear the news of postponement [emoji30]. At least it was day 1 and not 13! Enjoy one more week!!
