    Pureed food questions

I could not add any vegetables or beef until my 4 week pureed phase is over. I start pureed food on Monday 6/17/19 after 5 weeks of liquids.

    MAY 2019 Sleevers

I got my surgery date today for May 20!! I am beyond excited & nervous now.
  3. According to my GP, I am pretty healthy despite Type 2 Diabetes & High Blood Pressure. My GP sent my referral to the surgeon & he accepted me. I've had all my lab tests, Phsyc evaluation & first month appointment met of 3 with the Dietician. Yesterday I had an incident at the eye doctor where he sent me to the ER because of sudden partial blindness in my right eye. No pain, no headache, just an irritable grey haze on the bottom half of my right eye. The ER specialist diagnosed it as non-arteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy, which basically is a type of stroke at the back of my eye. The nerve that sends a signal from the eye to the brain was damaged. It was not an Arteritic stroke which is a good sign. There is no current treatment or cure. There is, however a chance that it could worsen if I don't get a better control of my Diabetes & blood pressure. Now I am worried my surgeon will disapprove me. Being that the incident occurred on a Friday afternoon, I have not had a chance to tell my Bariatric team yet. Has anyone had an issue with their health that your surgery team dropped you?
  4. Everything is still a go! No date yet. Second of three Dietician appointments tomorrow morning.
  5. The Specialist I saw at the ER was called before I got there by my Opthamologist in my home town, so he had a pretty good idea what was going on. He did a lot of testing before he even sent me to St. Louis. I am hoping too that this may make me a better candidate, but there is always that chance the surgeon will see it differently. The hospital they sent me to in St. Louis is affiliated with where my surgeon is located, so he may know about what happened before I can tell him, so keep your finger's crossed for me. Thank you Everythinganna for the support! 😃

  7. Good Morning! This is my first post. I made the decision to have this surgery last year. I finally saw my doctor to send in her referral in December. Time has flown by so fast since then as well as the process. I've had my first surgeon appointment & met with him & his team. I've had my blood tests and first month visit with the Dietician. I have been approved by everyone, just waiting on the insurance to approve me. I am a Senior Lady at 66 years old with Type 2 Diabetes. I wish I had made this decision many, many years ago, but I was like a lot of people swayed by the stigma that once was attached to WLS. My surgeon has recommended VSG. I have been reading posts on the forums for a month or so. I didn't want to post until I knew this was going to happen. They are looking at April 2019 for my surgery. I'm really excited & nervous at the same time.

Do you just type in the food item with size & the program calculates macros for you or do you have to put that in yourself?
