  6. I used the equate chocolate which is the same as the premier. But I used it to make a mocha. Whole container and a 8 ounce cup of coffee it’s so good. But heat it up if you store your shake cold makes the coffee like warm at best.

  9. Just got the best news today from post op, it’s on to soft food. I can advance past the liquids to soft protein. Everything checked out at the DR and progress is where it needs to be. What did you do for your first soft meal?

  14. Hello 5th Buddies. I had my bypass on the 5th and things have been so surprisingly great. Got discharged immediately the next morning. Getting in the Water and Protein. Doing homemade broths and tolerating them. I have my first play op appointment tomorrow. Not even in pain which I am surprised by that. I have more knee pains than surgery pains from walking lol. Stay pumped everyone. The honeymoon is in full effect and let’s make the most out of it. I am sure they’re tougher days ahead but enjoy the ride.

  16. Today was a great post op day. I was able to get my walking in around 7000 steps. I got my water and protein in as well. Let’s just say I felt really good for just having my surgery Tuesday. And I even went to the dentist for a cleaning. My energy level is going great. I said that to say All my February buddies you got this and hopefully you feel the way I do.
  17. Well I am headed home. Surgery was a success. Now it’s time to heal and do better. By better I mean make better choices and decisions about my over all health.
  18. Good luck to all the people scheduled for today. When can do this
  19. Well today marks the beginning of a new journey. I am heading to the hospital for my surgery. It’s been a great two weeks. Down 20lbs from liquid Pre-op diet and looking forward to shedding this fat suit in the future.
  20. That’s looks a lot like my cart. Were you able to tolerate creamy soups.
  21. Well I’m counting down. I only have 4 days til my surgery. Getting my supplies for post op. Found a b12 and gummy vitamin. Any other suggestions for post diet.
  22. Yes it’s pre. I had my appointment today and now I’m scheduled for Tuesday at 9am
  23. I have been making my own broth with a whole boiled chicken in the crock pot with vegetables and fresh spices. Then I strain everything and only use the broth as my soup. Taste great and filling without carbs and sugars. Sodium might be a lil high but you can control that.
  24. Hello I have the same surgery date. My pre-op is Tuesday. How is the liquid diet going for you. I’m actually embracing mine and losing during it.
  25. So here’s my take. I have all the big five boxes checked. And I am getting bypass done on the 5th. The ampuntnof money I spend on meds and doctor visits and other incidentals pale in comparison. You will you find that thing will balance out once you factor in all the other expenses. The food you eat will help off set cost. It can be done you will have to refocus on what’s important and that’s your health.
