    Scared I won't qualify!

I had a BMI of 38 but had high blood pressure and sleep apnea and I was approved. Good luck I hope all goes well
  4. Any meats make me sick, beef, pork, turkey. I was a big time meat eater before surgery, now the smell and the thought of eating any meats makes me want to hurl.
  5. Since I’ve had gastric bypass I hate meat, I hate the look of it the smell of it. I try to eat it for the protein because I’m not able to stomach protein shakes anyone. Has anyone else gone through this?

    Everything makes me queasy!

I just posted about this, I’m in the same boat but it’s meat that makes me sick, the thought of having to eat it makes me want to vomit but, I know it’s a necessity for protein.

    REGRET

I’ve experienced this but mine started about two weeks after surgery. It’s not unusual to have depression after surgery. I think you should talk to a professional about why you are feeling this way and medication if need be, hoping you’ll feel better soon.

My first time felt like it was stuck in my chest, I haven’t tried them since
  10. I actually had to restart everything again, 6 weeks into my Bariatric surgery they realized I had a build up of scar tissue and had to go back in and remove it starting everything over again. Now I’m at the soft food phase again.
  11. I’m so afraid of trying new foods that I’m eating just yogurt, mashed potatoes and pudding.
  12. Since having this surgery meat makes me sick, I can tolerate fish but only certain kinds of fish.

Good luck on your surgery, you’ll be fine. Sending thoughts and prays from Staten Island, New York
  15. That there could be complications after surgery, such as scar tissue build up that’s prevents you from being able to hold down food and water.
  16. Hello everyone, I ended up having emergency surgery on 6/14/19. I had a bowel obstruction making it difficult for me to hold solid food down.

  19. I’m 5 weeks post op, I had the gastric bypass. Like you I have pressure in my pouch, I feel like my dr isn’t taking it seriously and I’m so worried because I live off of water and isopure protein which I’m having a hard time tolerating.
  20. I can’t eat anything, everything comes back up. My doctor says that it’s food aversion but I don’t think so I think something is wrong
