hi I was banded on 30 may and wasnt told to take chewy multi vitaims. I take tesco multi vitaims and Iron tablets and im fine they are not a very big tablet. small round ones. hope this helps you Ann

hi debbie I was in hospitail for 1 night only. had op done at 12 noon and was on ward by 1.30 pm awake. didnt even think id had it done. lol and im the worlds bigest wimp!!!!!!!! by day 3 i was bored of sitting about resting. done plenty of that last year. with back. I did 3 weeks and 5 day of liquids could cope with the last 2 days need food. now done a week of soft foods , been having ready breck . scambled eggs. mashed potatoe. fish pie frozen 1. yesterday i had fish fingers and baked Beans yum yum.,,, today i had crispbreads with tuna and a little salad cream. just chewed it to death lol loads of Water to.. I not had bread for 5 weeks now and dont miss it 1 bit. pm me or send a email via my profile. got to go do tea now hubby b home soon take care Ann x

hi debbie yes they are all nice docs nurse i thought they would judge me. but no they didnt for the first time ever nobody judge me. so that was good. becuase when i went to local hospitial for pcos treatment thats all they went on about my weight. and it didnt matter if i only lost a little bit of wieght it wasnt good enough for them.!!!! when i went to derby for my first appt I took all my slimming world books with me with my different wieght losses over the last five years. they didnt want to look at them i was suprised. its been the same 2 and half stone on and off in last five years. so its good to get past that mile stone now!! I lost weight before my op becuase i wanted to. as when my back went last jan last year. the more weight i put back on the worse it got couldnt even walk to end of my drive. im a big walker or was. lol up until jan 07 I had gone from a size 26/24 to a size 20 fitted trousers no elastic in site.!!!! was well pleased with myself then my back finally gave up on me (curved spine) and slipped disks. hips out of line. when i had my spine straightened out by the chyropractor i gain 3 inches in hieght!!! so the weight came back on again.. doc refered me to derby. and the rest is history as they say. ITS THE BEST THING I HAVE HAD DONE!!! Im now 3 stone and 2 lbs lighter yay I go back to derby on 18th july to see the deitician. I live in a small road called lutton marsh.. its about 17 miles from spalding. Ann x

hi debbie I was banded on 30th may at derby . I take it that 21st july is your first vist? on my first vist I was weight then see the deitician then the consultant. then was ment to have bloods taken. except they forgot about me and all had gone home... I was told that I would have to be approved by the board of docs ect at hospitial. then be put on the waiting list.six months is the time. I waited six months from my first apptment till day of op so was well pleased. didnt even know that i was on waiting list until I had letter to go to derby for my pre-op asment. glad i didnt know before as im a worry wart lol. I was worried if doing the (right) thing!!!!! but its the best thing i done in my life. allways been big. had it done to spine giving up on me... I lost 19 lbs since 30th may 08. in total from nov o7 3 stone and 2 lbs yay so pleased never got past 2 and half stone before.!!!!!!!!!! so that wont be going back on. I have to go back on 18th july to see the deitician again. but a long way for 15 min appt as i live in south lincolnshire. but heyho it will be worth it. hope this has helped ? Ann

well done for doing 8 weeks on liquids!!! I managed 3 weeks and 5 days. as same as you getting tired didnt want to do anything, so I went onto soft foods and started to feel better after a couple of days. the problem I have now is what i eat one day seems enough for two days. and dont feel like eating becuase there is no room? thats how it feels to me. Im still learning though!!!!!!! hope you feel better soon. Ann x

thanks for your replys. yes i do feel good :thumbup:dont think I get back to 3 miles a day as my oldest dog is getting wobbley on her legs if we go ant further.. love Ann x

hi all I have walked my dogs on their leads for first time in 18 months..(couldnt walk last year until sept) normaly have to go in car then let them off down river bank.. due to pulling on my back. have back problems.... so today i thought id give it a go. walked from home to river bank and back was little sore but not to bad. so im going to try walking every other day.. until i feel i can go every day.. im so pleased with myself...:biggrin2: Ann xx I cant seem to change ticker its wrong now!! since having band fitted on 30th may 2008 i have lost 17lbs yay!!!!! so in total from nov 07 im now 3 stone lighter double yay!!! i never lost 3 stone in my life so im mega pleased sorry for waffling:tt2: Ann xx

I didnt sleep the night b4 .. I was having a nice soak in bath at 2.45 am morn of op. as had a 2 hour car trip to hospitial. and had to be there at 7.30am didnt sleep in car. then 5 mins b4 i had to get ready for surgery I sarted to nod of in waiting room lol then b4 they put me to sleep i was off again he said we havent giveng you anything to make u sleep yet!! Im now giving you something to sl thats all i heard then i was gone. next thing i know i was on the ward. didnt think i had it done. good luck sorry its long Ann x

hi all I have never been able to wear underwire bra. not enough suport for me...48H cup.. my port is just under left boob and was sore and uncomfortable for first 2 weeks now lost weight mostly of the boobs phew!! didnt think they would ever go down it runs in the family. I did tell the surgen i was worried about weight of boobs on the port but didnt take any notice of me. anyway they getting smaller thats the main thing.. bums gone (nearly) boobs going:thumbup: belly has a long way to go!!!:thumbup: hence my name lol take care Ann x

glad evrything went well for you. I didnt like walking into surgery either and laying on table ready. or being strapped in. never had a po before!!! so it was all new to me. happy recovery I got 4 more days of liquids yay then done 4 weeks. Ann

no regrets here. best thing i done.. only had it done 3weeks ago thou.. and lost 18 lbs with band and 28 lbs b4 banded whick took me six months.. so i hope to have good losses until im (normal) lol good luck in what you decide to do Ann x

thanks wendy so im looking at nov/dec time then. for my first fill. i can go vist my aunty that lives near derby then and she defo wont reconise me lol as changed hair colour too!!!!!!!!!! take care Ann x

hi wendy pleased you got your port sorted now.. do you have much more to lose? well done on the 4 stone. I had my lapband fitted at derby to on the 30 may 2008 and lost 16 lbs since then im so pleased ... O.M.G I cant belive since having lapband fitted on 30th may I have lost 16 lbs in 18 days wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :drool: so since nov 07 I have now lost 2 stone and 12 and 1/2 lbs everytime in the last five years i have got stucka the 2 stone mark and no more would come off. so Im well pleased.. im still on liquids. till 30th june. I WILL BE GETTING MY 3 STONE AWARD NEXT WEEK AT SLIMMING CLUB im so excited never had a 3 stone award b4 lol im a sado I know. lol good luck everyone Ann xx

hi whoooooosh I wasnt told to do 2 weeks liquids b4 op .. im on 4 weeks liquids after op then 2 weeks purred then mushies then solids I will admit that on sun i did have mashed potatoe chicken (chewed it to death lol) and carots and gravey..on a side plate I was at my brothers and he didnt no i had it done so told him i was cutting down lol also did have choc cake (chewed that to death too))) as neices birthday so couldnt say no to her bless after dinner on sun first mouthful was a bit hard going down but the rest was ok. and was full up had to go and walk it off.:biggrin2: Ann x

yesterday I went to see friends aunty and they was having tea soon after i got there. my friends uncle made me a SAUSAGE SANDWICH on white bread and proper butter. put it in front of me and said here u are girl enjoy!! O M G i paniced as loved sausage sandwich. told them didnt want it as was eating later with hubby when i got home. it took me five times of telling them NO AND THEY FINALLY MOVED IT PHEW!!!!!!!!!!!!!! because if they are eating when im there they allways do me some food will have to avoid meal times i guess.. think i would have been ill if they didnt take no for a answer they dont no i been banded its only 2 weeks since op aswell. 1 more thing they have known me for 19 years and have allways called me big Ann. I keep saying what u gonna call me when im slim? as been slimming since nov 07 again but this time its staying offfff!:thumbup: sorry its long Ann xx

hi whoooosh if i remember my doc suggest to me in july/aug to have lapband fitted 4 weeks for me to make up my mind if i wanted it. he reffered me in sept got my appt for 1st time at derby in nov 08 didnt here anything until end of april this year that was having op. didnt even no i was on the list.!!! but i do have a spine problem thats y had op. had my spine straightened out last year (curved spine) aparantly it looked like a fish hook at base of spine.ouch!!!!!!!!!!!!! and hips out now that is painful having them pushed back in place... I dont know if thats why i wasnt waiting long or not. but they did tell me that the waiting time is 6 months there. which is good i thought a lot of plp on here wait years bless them xx I cant belive i had it done 2 weeks ago!!! i thought i cant do 4 weeks liquid diet and im halfway there already. Ann sorry its long answer.xx 1 last thing i lost 9 and 1/2 lbs in ten days when i went to sliming class on tue:thumbup:

hi I would get it checked out to be on the safe side. I had my op done 8 days ago and mine are fine not had no probs. at all. infact they are now starting to fall of the scabs that is. and the weight is as well lol lost 12 lbs since op whayhay:w00t: hope everything turns out ok for you Ann x

hi i was in the same boat as you lost weight on my own up un til surgery i wasnt having it done. but i have 1 week to the hour lol about a month b4 due to go in i started drinking and eating at seperate times as i always had to have a drink with food. from being a child was always told to wash it down with drink soz for waffling lol i weighed my self 5 days after op and have lost 6lbs and i was wearing jeans and shoes.:thumbup: so i think its been worth it! just keep saying to myself by xmas i might be 4 or 5 stone lighter now that would be a great feeling.:biggrin2: all the best in what you decide to do love Ann:tt1:

good luck from me to. when i had my op done they couldnt belive how small my liver was lol. told them id stuck to diet.also had been cutting down since nov last year. they said was only intrested in the 2 week pr-op diet. but i still proved then wrong lol had my op on 30-5-08 and feel good didnt think i would. as im a whimp lol good luck again:thumbup: Annx
