gg I had the band fittted on 30th may at 11am and was on my way home at 11 am on 31st may would have been early but had missunderstanting over my bladder not working. the thought it was because of op. some womens bladders stop working after surgery. but once i finally got throught to them that me not p ing was normal i was aloud home take care Ann xx

hi rock chick the nurse had put a card in my bag with my tablets id taken in to hosp. its the size of c card. but no other info with it? like i said in last post all in anther lang. so will take it when i go for next gp apt see what he says. r u going to bon jovi concert this year?

hi kerri liquid intake not to good a mo.. found out its because im stilll full of gas and could take about a week for it to wear of. cant seem to burp though lol...ment to be walking to move the gas but its raining here. hope its nice tommorow. it will get better im sure. not missing food at all. I thought id be hungry feeling faint because of lack of food but feel fine. it hurts a little bit on side of the port. but thats all Ann x:wub:

hi all I was banded on 30th may while in hospitial the made me have 2 jugs full of Water. also had 2 mugs of tea. now im home i managed 1 glass of quash about 150 mls of slim fast shake and 1 mug of tea. and feel real full. but the hospitial says i ment to have 2 litres of water aday Soup or slimfast shakes tea coffee and 1 pint of milk aday and im really strugling is becuase of the gases? and will it get better? thanks for reading any advice:thumbup: thanks Ann xx

hi all I been banded on 30th may 2008 at derby city hospitial. everything went well ,i have a bit of pain in shoulder apart from that feel fine.. I can remember when it was all over the nurse docs when in recorvery room was saying come on Ann wake up you should have been awake a good 10 mins or more ago.. I could here them but oboiusly i wasnt making any movement or sound. because they sounded worried and i couldnt let them no i was ok. I just kept thinking leave me alone im tired and just wanted to sleep. lol didnt even think id had the op done!! they also said they could belive how small my liver was? so my six mounths of cutting down done the trick eh:thumbup: this other lady was having same op but when they got inside her they found her liver wasnt small enough and also she had a hernea aswell so she got to go through it all again in 4 weeks time bless her.. sorry its long Ann xx:tt1:

hi all I was wondering if anyone thinks it would be a good idea to go to a rock concert 4 weeks after having lapband fitted? I was looking forward to going not sure now?:confused2: having op on 30 may concert is 26 june... any advice cheers Ann a big bon jovi fan.... soon will be a smalll bon jovi fan lol:lol:

I wa there for about 1 hour. had to have blood tests no food for 10 hours before bloods being taken only Water. so was pleased when i could have a cup of tea.. had a ecg which to monitoir the heart. to see if it healthy enought for surgery. blood presure taken. then went to see nurse she asked load of questions and that was all. cant wait for the 30th then i can start to lose even more weight!!! already lost 2 stone since dec o7.. hope this helps :thumbup: Ann x

hi all I went for my pre-op assment yesterday at derby city hospitial. all i can say is glad i got there very early. as would have been rushing around trying to find where i needed to be.... what a big hospitial lol im a real country bumkins as live in tiny rural vilarge... cant belive its happening and by xmas i should be a lot smaller yahay... I go in on the 30th may and come out on 31st may. on my 5th wed anvs.. so dont think we will be doing much do you?:biggrin: take Ann x

hi there I have not had it done yet. but will be on 30th may not long now..:coolgleamA: I will be having it do by dr leeder have met him. i am a bit worried never ever in my life had any surgery. im bad enough having a tooth out!!:cool2: but on ther other had cant wait to get some more blubber gone so my spine wont have so much presser on it. did you have to stay in over night? thanks Ann

Hi all im kindof new here keep forgetting my passwords and user name. so started again. I will be on here more now than i was before as i have got my op date........30th may 2008 ohhhhhh not long only found out last week. im pleased as it doesnt give me time to think about it. lol I have already lost 2 stone since end of nov 07. so that wont be going back on will it? im 37years old my bones feel like 87 years most of time. lets hope when more wieght comes off it will improve. bye for now Ann x:thumbup:

hi all I went to derby hospitial end of nov 07 and was told that the board of docs would dicide if i was suitiable for op..they told me its six months waiting time for op. never heard anything? my gp contacted them about 6 weeks ago. then by shock /suprised i got a letter on thurs last week saying having the op on 30th may 2008 the day before my 5th wed anv.... I have to go on 7th may for my pre-op assment. I have also been going to slimming club started the day before i went for my first hosp appt in nov and have lost 2 stone yah.. and thats not going back on anymore lol.. dont no whether this has helped?
