Newbie on my Journey ... did you keep your journey a secret
There's a reason why because generally obese or over weight people are putting their health at risk. Every extra lb or kg is impacting your organs and your breathing among other things so it looks like to outsiders that you're not caring about your health or your self which in turn sets a bad example to the children of today if they see adults being obese and acting like it's fine.... I know from experience how bad and unhealthy I felt for years due to my obesity, I could barely walk a mile without needing to stop I was so unhealthy. so there's a difference between being curvy cuddly and being morbidly obese... If you're that big you can't even walk around the shop to buy your junk food then that is an issue... If you're too big to keep yourself clean that is an issue... So embracing ones flaws is fine but not if you're risking your life....

Week s leading up to 2 week liquid diet.
I think it is personal preference but I chose to start my liquid diet well in advance and it worked well for me lost weight before surgery so had a head start in a way Nothing wrong with being strict early on I think it will actually help you transition to the new way of life post surgery. I'm just talking from my own experience and I managed to lose all my excess weight now at BMI of 22.2 Thank you.

Feeling no pain
I was drinking water straight away but like only one cup at a time Vs 1 bottle at a time still more than just sips even though the surgeon said only 1oz of water every hour I needed more...

Maintenance?? Is it really possible?
Definitely. Before the BYPASS I had never got this low on the scales before nor had I been able to maintain so well.. I've been in maintenance mode nearly 3 months now sitting between lowest of 163 to 166 pretty consistently... I can eat more variety and still not gain weight so it is much better now...

STOP MAKING EXCUSES
Yes I have been successful it was not easy it took alot of hard work and commitment and dedication that's the whole point of my post. People need to take it more seriously and hard honest truth is the way I was brought up. None of this beating around the bush stuff. Sorry if my post hit home to some people. I can't help if I'm a hard facts person.

So thankful for this surgery
That's the attitude

STOP MAKING EXCUSES
I'm sorry but I'm so sick of seeing posts of people obviously cheating or making excuses to cheat and then crying because they didn't lose weight... I'm sorry but if you're not ready to commit to this program and you're not ready to change your life then you're not ready for surgery okay.... Stop lying to yourself and stop making excuses to cheat. Stop blaming everyone else for your failures. I spent about 20 years living obese but I woke up one day and made the mental decision and commitment to change my life and I didn't let anyone or anything interfere with my decision. 10 months later and I'm half the size u was literally I've lost 159lbs and I'm skinny and I'm healthy and happy and loving life. You cannot begin this program thinking you can just breeze through without actually making an effort okay. I'm saying this because I want people to make sure they are ready before they commit to being operated on. It's a huge decision. A huge commitment and mental stamina is needed to be successful okay. I'm sorry but I'm over seeing all these people making you feel better for failing or cheating.... Tighten up. Toughen up.

Weight gain insurance denies?
Well my surgeon had very little requirements but he says if you can't lose any weight it doesn't look good for you especially if you're on a preop diet...

Confused about ports
You'll have 5 or 6 incision holes from the utensils needed with surgery but some people me included had a drain for a few days just to collect blood and fluids from inside your stomach area...
-
Recovery?!
Are you getting your protein in everyday
