  1. I second the Parm chips. They are also at Costco and Walmart under different names. Whisps I think. And come in flavors. I also like the Quest chips. I’ve had nacho cheese and bbq flavors. Both are good.
  2. Just looking for the crunchy salty snacks...there are some chips there that I might give it a try. Any thoughts?
  3. What is the lawsuit regarding? I ordered some on Amazon last week. Supposed to be arriving on Thursday.
  4. Mine got moved up to the 14th due to a cancellation. I’m kind of freaking out. It wasn’t supposed to be until after Christmas. I’m not prepared but I can’t even think what I need to do! What have you done in preparation?
  5. Anjo- why were they not successful? I like to hear what not to do as much as what to do.
  6. Thanks everyone! They actually called back and said they have an opening on the 14th so I took it! Hopefully I will feel ok by Christmas and if not my husband can do the cooking. He’s very supportive and perfectly capable. I just enjoy it and really don’t want to miss it. I may feel differently when I can’t eat any of it[emoji23]
  7. I don’t have a specific date yet (getting it at Dec 11 appt) but was told Dec 21 would be a possibility or the 26-28. I would like to have both holidays worked into my vacation days from work (25, Jan 1) so getting it on the 21st is appealing. Plus, not many people know I’m getting it so it will be less noticeable that I’m not working over the holidays. On the other hand, I love going to Christmas Eve service at my church with my family and I’ll still need to cook a few items for Christmas dinner. No way of knowing if I’ll be up to doing either of these things. What are others thoughts about these dates?
  8. I won’t find out until the 11th but mine will most likely be the 26-28.
  9. I drink mine with flavored decaf and it’s so much better. You can play around with the flavors.
  10. I’m on the pre-op too and have this problem. I drink a cup of smooth move tea every other night. Works great!
  11. You look great - keep up the good work!
  12. Absolutely a Wildcat! Watching the game right now. #bbn I work in Lexington and live about 45 minutes outside. You?
  13. Try adding organic turmeric to your diet either in food or by capsule. It seemed to lower mine by 50. I’m still on a low dose of Crestor but I’m in normal ranges. I haven’t had WLS surgery yet. Hoping I will get off it altogether after surgery.
  14. I think I would do water with a couple a splashes of cranberry juice and a lime wedge.
  15. Anesthesia can also do a number on your body and emotions. It take about 30 days for the complete side affects of it to wear off.
  16. Just got scheduled for pre-op surgeon appointment on Dec 11 after which they will set my date. Should be before Dec 31. I think I’m going to go ahead a start the pre-op diet in the hopes of getting in sooner. If they have any cancellations I’ll be ready to go.
  17. All tests are done, sent to insurance for approval. Hoping to get it done this year as I’ve met the annual deductible. Haven’t met with a surgeon. I’m assuming that will be the next step once insurance approves.
  18. You look amazing! Keep up the great work. It has to feel great to look at your progress. Be proud of yourself!
  19. I feel like my program is a little backwards. I’ve had all the pre-op testing, and it all just got submitted to insurance for approval. Haven’t met with a surgeon yet, and don’t have a date, but I’m really hoping to have it (VSG) before December 31 as I’ve met all my insurance deductibles for the year.
  20. I have a “mock” wine sometimes during the week when I want a glass of wine but really don’t want alcohol. It satisfies me for some reason. I use cherry juice, not from concentrate, and water. In a red wine glass. Maybe it will work for you too. Cheers!
  21. It sounds like either a hernia or scar tissue that has attached to something else and is pulling. My husband had something similar on a surgery scar. Surgeon went in and cleaned it up. Was outpatient quick and easy fix. Definitely get it checked if it does clear up in a week or so.
  22. I have Cigna too but don’t know about any 90 day nutritional class requirement. I’ve been going through pre-op testing but haven’t been completely approved nor do I have a surgery date. I am needing to get it done this year due to possible insurance changes. Hope they don’t spring this on me last minute!
