  1. I'm in perimenopause and I'm quite happy, sated and still losing, so I think I'm doing awesome. My post was not at all a dig at you. I enjoy your posts quite a bit!
  2. I use the app Medisafe to remind me to take pills and keep track of when I take them. I would forget my Calcium sometimes if I didn't have it. https://itunes.apple.com/us/developer/medisafe-inc/id573916949
  3. This is an average day for me: Breakfast: 1 egg, 1/4 cup melted fat free cheese, a little broccoli and mushrooms in a scramble, small glass of tomato juice to take my pills Lunch: Lean Cuisine at work, or a salad with protein like chicken if I go out Dinner: Chicken and vegetable stir fry Optional snacks (0-3 a day): Yogurt, banana, light string cheese, quarter cup mixed nuts, low calorie yogurt bar, etc. Minimum 64 ounces of water
  4. Shalom. Can you make an apt. with your surgeon to discuss it?
  5. Besides Tylenol, if you have another issue that causes severe pain you can take Tramadol or Percocet. I highly recommend talking to your doctor about this.
  6. This is what I take. I was told I have to space out my Calcium this way to absorb enough, and not to take it at the same time as iron. These are the brands my program recommends. I have since found identical vitamins that are CVS generics. Because I'm a member I get BOGO and 20% off their brand name, which makes them pretty affordable. BariMelts Biotin worked so well on me I started to get hair in unwanted places and discontinued. I've had no hairloss at 6 months. These are all normal pills I swallow except the Calcium, which are chews Morning • One A Day Women’s Vitamin • Vitamin D 2,000 • Vitron C Iron • Vitamin B12 500 mcg • IC Ursodiol 300 mg Noon • Viactive Calcium Dinner • Viactive Calcium Evening • Viactive Calcium • IC Ursodiol 300 mg
  7. I really doubt you stretched it. Forgive yourself and move forward.
  8. No worries at all, it's cool.
  9. I stayed two nights. I had a cold when I had my surgery and then I was coughing. I couldn’t sleep much in the hospital and made SURE I could go home after that.
  10. Sorry I meant, ask your doctor if you can do what I did. Not that I am an internet doctor.
  11. I have a sleeve and I was allowed to swallow pills the day after my surgery. I take them in something thick like tomato juice or protein shake so they go down easily. I just learned they make thickened juice for people who have trouble swallowing.
  12. As someone who has had major weight losses in the past, I am keeping my large clothes for now. They are my insurance policy that I won't need to wear them again. I have them stored in my attic. As for new clothes, since I don't know where I will end up, I am buying things on an as-needed basis such as bras, underwear, workout clothes, and a few nice things for work. I think a lot of people go to cheap stores like Walmart or thrift stores. I like finding cheap designer clothes on eBay. Just find a seller that accepts returns if they don't fit. When I had to buy new suits for work I went to Talbots where I knew they would help me find the right size. Nordstrom and Bloomingdales also have employees that will help you find the right size and make suggestions. The downside is that these stores are more expensive for clothes you may not be able to wear for long.
  13. It's his site. I can use it for free. In the grander scheme of things, I don't care, he can recommend whatever he wants and I can drink whatever I want.
  14. This is cracking me up because I think Alex owns the store connected to this site and he sells dozens of brands. LINKY
  15. My husband is overweight and has diabetes. He’s also 19 years older than I am. I’ve begged him to eat healthier so he’ll be around longer, but I know nagging won’t help. We did have our first rager argument in years when he insisted on having a pizza delivered last week. Overeating pizza actually put him in the ER once.
  16. I just say, if there's an easy way out, I'll take it. I don't think it's the easy way out, but if people want to think that, I don't care. Like I really want to do everything the hardest way possible. What am I, stupid?
  17. I hit Onderland today. I'm thrilled!
  18. If someone is my friend and wants help losing weight I would probably tell them. Otherwise, I tell people or not based on mood. Yesterday I told a woman I barely know that I was eating much smaller portions with more protein and less carbs. It’s not a lie...
  19. He's selling a multi-level market aka pyramid scheme now. I'm totally not into him. I assume he will try to add you to his downline at his seminars and try to get you to buy and become a seller for his sh*tty MLM products.
  20. I didn't have any nausea. Also, when you are first drinking liquids, even if you throw up it will only be a little bit of liquid, not such a big deal. I didn't even take all my pain meds and the pain was not bad. Good luck, I'm sure everything will go well and your doctor sounds attentive to your concerns.
  21. If you can, my suggestion is to use a app to remind you to eat. I use one to remind me to take my pills. I can't eat much pre-workout or I feel sick, but I make sure to eat enough earlier in the day. Can you get an appointment with your dietician to review what and when you are eating? Good luck and feel better.
  22. Congratulations! I just have one more pound to go.
  23. So you had the surgery March 11 and it's March 17th now. It took me a week or maybe even a bit longer to be able to sleep on my side. This concerns me. I don't quite know what you mean about the dent. My suggestion is to call your surgeon's office. Good luck and feel better,
  24. I had my surgery 5 months ago and I'm down 49 lbs. Unlike some people, I am really happy with that result. I have never lost weight so fast, and doing it while in perimenopause is like magic to me. My size went from a 22W to a 16 regular. I can do business travel without bringing a seatbelt extender and not be embarrassed to have my picture all over my employer's social media. People have really noticed my loss, and I feel more comfortable in my body. One of the best decisions I have ever made.
