Left abdominal pain 3 three post op
Hi, I am 3 weeks post op and am having a gnawing almost burning pain in my left abdominal region. Its been two days and the pain is about a 5-6 on a scale of one to ten being the highest. The pain is worse when I move so walking really increases it. Does anyone know what this could be? I really don't know much about where my organs are inside my abdomen so I am clueless to what this pain could be. Thanks!

Popcorn
Hi, I am a month or so out of surgery and I am craving my popcorn. I eat it without butter or salt, so its pretty healthy and I'm sure I will only get a couple kernels down. When can I indulge?

Surprised!
I am 12 days out on my new sleeve and I am pleasantly surprised how easily my foods and liquids go down. I do not have to sip anymore, I just take regular drinks and regular bites of soft foods, like apple sauce and cottage cheese and eggs. I thought I'd be eating like a baby all my life. Is anyone else like this? Thanks

6 days post-op feeling droopy
I have heard you can still have the anesthetic, in you for up to weeks afterwards making you feel tired. I am 10 days post op and still take a nap every day. Protein helps. Have you tried Isopure? It comes in a variety of flavors and taste like Kool-aid. One bottle which is 20 ounces and 40 grams of protein really help me get my protein. It takes me all day to drink a bottle along with my water. I get mine at Vitamin Shoppe. Hope that helps!

Need Help with Soda Addiction
I'm three days a way from my surgery and I am still having one can of caffeine free diet coke. I suppose I will continue until my 24 hour pre-op diet of clear liquids only..... Sigh ~ at least I will not withdrawal from the caffeine only the carbonation.
-
I start my pre op diet tomorrow,
What does your pre-op diet consist of? Mine was one week of full liquids and 24 hours before surgery only clear liquids. Some people can have lean meat or carbs... I was not allowed that, but you are on a longer pre-op diet than me.

Headaches week before surgery
My Dr. said anything Tylenol is approved safe for taking. So should help with the head aches I hope. Also, take Tylenol PM if having trouble sleeping. I've tried it but I am still up most of the night. Guess we are all just stressed about the upcoming surgery.

4 weeks out need help with what I can eat....
I was told my nutritionist, that drinking protein drinks the first year can really help the weight come off, as people are not getting enough protein from meat and eggs alone. I plan on staying on my protein drinks as long as possible! Sassy

How is "personal conversation" different then thread?
Hi, I've been getting a lot of "Personal Conversation" sent from people who have quoted my post and left a reply on a thread I posted. How is a personal conversation any different then someone just replying to a thread? Am I suppose to be writing theses people back? They don't say, and I don't know how to do that. Thanks for any replies.

Any January Sleevers?
I was just scheduled for Jan 12th! I am a self payer and do not have to do the Dr. dance, no psych, no heart test, nothing~! Just show up at 7:30 am date of surgery after having followed a full liquid diet a week before and a clear liquid diet for the last 12 hours. The Dr office even gave me a ton of sample of Protein shakes, from all over the place. Like

None of your business
I'm a private person and my weight I believe is my problem. Problem is.... my family thinks its their business. I don't live near my family but see them about twice a year. How do I NOT tell them I've had surgery when they see the significant weight loss I'm going to have? I don't really want to outright lie, but once one person knows then everyone on Facebook will know.... that is no one can keep a secret in my family and they feel they have the right to tell everyone they run into the family gossip. Now some you may wonder if I am ashamed of the surgery and the answer is delicate. I just don't want the negativity. I know the surgery is the best thing for me and if I had some decent family and friends I could trust then I'd shout it to the world about how skinny I'm trying to become. I think I'd like to say I went on a high Protein diet, lowered my calories and started exercising.... all true. Some I suppose will guess and talk about it behind my back, some will be direct and come straight out and ask me and that's where I get scared and want to tell them its none of their business. Any feedback on this sensitive subject would be appreciated, no negativity please! Thanks!
