  1. Can you share what waist trainer you are using?
  2. Can i have your pumpkin custard recipe? I love pumpkin pie and it’s never been the same since my grandma passed!
  3. No, they won’t. I’m just going to have to do what i can and hope coworkers can help with a couple things for a week or so. Lord knows I’ve helped them in the past. If not, I guess I’ll get sent home.
  4. I wish I could afford to take more time off. I had planned to go back yesterday ( exactly 7 from surgery) but I’m still feeling miserable. I absolutely have to return next Monday. Since I’m not technically full time I don’t get any benefits. I have a feeling next week will be a very long and exhausting one. My job is physically demanding as well. The lifting and bending are going to be rough.
  5. I’d like to know about the ice cream! Lol. I’m miserable right now and cannot wait to get back to anything resembling normal!!!
  6. I am completely in your universe!! Right there on the rocks with you!!
  7. No, it hasn’t. I barely get any fluids in and no protein. I’m supposed to see my dr on Wednesday, if I make it that long before i have to go get IV fluids. As soon as i wake up in the mornings, I usually feel pretty good and hope for a good day but by the time I sit up, i can feel the nausea and miserableness set in.
  8. Not yet. Idk what the final straw I should look for should be. I don’t want to go and it not be necessary. I’ve never felt this not in control of my own body before. Scares the hell out of me. I just want to find something I can drink. I actually liked the protein shakes and the nectars before surgery. Everything is just wrong now.
  9. Oh, no!! That is incredibly scary!! I’m so sorry for your awful experience!! ❤️
  10. I have called them several times this week. Yesterday they told me go to the ER for fluids at the hospital where surgery was done, which is 40 + miles away vs my local ER, which is less than 10 miles away. They said they couldn’t do anything else for me on a Friday afternoon. I did call throughout the week though. They sent in another rx for more zofran, 8 more pills. I’m mot supposed togo back for my next appointment until 9/19.
  11. I really don’t care if i lose any weight right now. If i could take this mess I inflicted upon myself back, i would in a heartbeat!! Today has been another day from hell. I cannot even find 1 thing to drink that doesn’t make me gag. I’ve given up on trying to get protein. It isn’t happening. If i could be put into a medically induced coma until I feel normal again, I’d voluntarily go!! It’s better than not waking up at all, which has crossed my mind too.
  12. I was sleeved on 9/10/18. I also have buyers remorse. Have had it since 9/11/18. But I absolutely would change it if I could!! If this situation had an undo button, I would have been hitting that thing with every ounce of energy I barely have. I have been miserable since surgery. I’m mad at myself for doing this to myself. I’m tired of the smells of ANYTHING making me nauseous. I’m mad that I’m going to have to miss 2 weeks of work for this mess, when I would much rather be out every day getting paid. I’m just so completely miserable and mad at myself and I don’t feel any better today than I did on Monday evening.
  13. Oh, I totally understand the schedule now. Right now I can’t even choke down more than a few sips of water! I just always wondered why the people, who were doing so well a few months post surgery, at my required pre surgery meetings always stood around afterwards absolutely dying for a salad!! Lol
  14. Can I ask, what kind of food stage schedule does your doctor use? I had surgery on 9/10 and I’m supposed to be on clear liquids until 9/24, puréed 9/25-10/8, adaptive/soft 10/9-12/9. Seems like such a long time but I’m sure he has set it this way for a reason. At least now I understand why the other people at my meetings were complaining about just wanting a salad SO badly! Lol
  15. Those all sound good! I’m day 5 post op right now and am having trouble even keeping water down. Very nervous right now, as i feel worse today than any day so far.
  16. Can you share your soup recipe, please?
  17. My sleeve was on 9/10. Right now I’m having serious buyers remorse. At this point it feels like I’ll never feel halfway normal again. Has anyone else experienced a wierd almost ringing in their ears and a heightened sense of hearing? Like everything is extra loud.
  18. @TX4everLinds I’ve been trying to follow your updates and hoping my recovery is similar to yours! I had the sleeve on 9/10. I was released from the hospital on 9/11. I’m struggling with fluid. Have a lot of stomach pain- i think a combination of incisions, swelling and probably gas. My throat doesn’t bother me as much as my stomach. I’m having problems just finding a comfortable position to sit or lay in. I’ve been putting protein on the back burner while I focus mostly on trying to get water down. Right now the protein makes me feel a little sick. I keep trying with the water because I don’t want to end up back in the hospital for dehydration. Are you able to get your full 64 oz in yet? Have you had any issues with nausea or vomiting? Sorry to bombard you with questions!! Very glad you are finally feeling better!!
  19. I’m scheduled for sleeve surgery tomorrow morning. I’m excited and nervous. Are there any pieces of advice you have that might help me? I feel like I need all the info I can get!
  20. Is there a list of things we should all know before surgery?? I’m scheduled for Monday. Idk the time yet. But I’m getting more worried as it gets closer! I think I wouldn’t be as scared if was informed of all the little things.
