Any Great Tasting Decaf Coffee Out There?
I just drink regular coffee. Decaf is like drinking nonalcoholic beer. I don't see the point. I was told to go by the pee chart and don't seem to have a problem drinking water throughout the day. Here's the pee chart.

2 weeks post op
You lost a lot of weight like me before surgery. I think that might also effect the post op losses. ( just a guess)

2 weeks post op
I had RNY on the same day. I'm doing the same thing. I think I will only weigh once a month. Everybody goes through this.

How often should you go to the bathroom?
Sometimes I just think about what's normal for me. I can't imagine going a day without taking a load off my mind.

How often should you go to the bathroom?
If you're getting your protein in, you should have a BM every day. Not much but something. You might have to take a shot of polyethylene glycol. I was given a prescription before I left the hospital. It gets things moving.

Worried Sweet-Tooth with question
There's tons of stuff that mascaraed as sweets like chocolate chip cookies that are actually high protein low carb substitutes. Look on Amazon.

Loose stools and lots of gas in pipes while moving bowels
At 4 or 5 days you will be getting rid of stuff in your bowels that was there before surgery. Once that's gone, it will turn from rabbit turds to cow pies because protein shakes.

It’s crazy the vast differences in plans.
My surgeon has 4 stages two weeks each then regular food unless there is a problem transitioning to the next stage. I told the Nut that I go online and read other people's plans and she didn't care for that too much LOL. I guess that causes people to stray from their own plan.

do you tell your weight lost
I like to turn it around on them and say "What are you saying, I was fat?" That usually trips them up pretty good.

December Bypass Twin?
Everything went well. The surgeon said my liver was perfect and I went home the day after surgery. I went back to work a week after surgery and everything seems to be progressing along nicely. I hope all is well with your recovery.

Lap band January 2019 surgery date
My surgeon said he doesn't do lap-bands. He does however spend a lot of time repairing the damage caused by them. There's a lot more money to be made nowadays in the removal of lap-bands than the placement.

RNY 12/17 Over inflated
This gas they filled me with is crazy! I'm a week PO and every day I feel like I'm eating a huge bowl of beans and paying the price. I think maybe it has tapered off but then BAM! it's back with a vengeance. I might have to get the gas-x but I've been told that it just has to work it's way out. Is that right?

Confronting the "mean girls"
I would confront them. Tell them to talk to your face, not behind your back. Tell them what your new diet consists of if they want to hear. High protein low carb and moderate exercise under a doctors supervision. Most of the time they won't want to hear your story, they just wanted to gossip.

chugging water
I think eventually we will be able to drink tons of water again. Fingers crossed.

I fear it's wasted on me
I'm a week after you. You've had some serious setbacks but still moved forward with the surgery. Just keep looking forward and it will fall into place for you. You know what the right thing to do is and you're doing it. Good job!
