Lap Band Journey Came to Screeching Halt Today!

Please find another doctor! There are many physicians out there who support this treatment, and will give you their blessing! I was lucky that my Dr. gave me her full support from the beginning, although I am still in my 6 month wait for a Dr. supervised weight loss plan. Good luck, and don't let this discourage you.

    SMMC LB support group chicas

Hello, everyone. I am in the insurance process, and just playing the 6 month waiting game. Can anyone tell me if Dr. Hoehn uses the new generation AP band? I can't remember if they said that at the seminar? Thanks!

Help me please! AGB vs RNY

Best of luck, and if you don't mind sharing, why did you go RNY? I am in the process of making this same decision, and I would love your perspective. Thanks!

    Skin Fold Rash

Thanks! I am anxious to hear from the surgeon that my insurance covers, though I haven't decided on one yet.

    Skin Fold Rash

Hello! I just posed a reply on a different thread about this same thing! I am not banded yet, but have had this problem for years. The best (only) thing that I have found to work is Lotrimin. I just clean and dry the area, apply a thin layer, and most times it clears up overnight. I discovered this when Lotrimin was the only thing that cleared up my son's infrequent diaper rash. Hope this helps!

    Rash..under my stomach (apron)

Hi, there! I have not been banded yet, but have had the rash problem on and off for years. The best cure I have found is straight Lotrimin. I dab a bit on the rash, and it clears up overnight most times. It seems to be the only thing that works, as the powders gum up over the course of the day. Be sure the area is very clean and dry before applying the Lotrimin. Just a thin layer seems to do the trick. Good luck!
  8. Hi! This is Jennifer....I met you the other day at the group meeting, and I would love to ask you some more questions. Do you have an email address, or another way to contact you? Thanks!!
