    Put Up Or Shut Up

"Susan, everything you post in reply to a thread by me, for me or about me is bitter, nasty harassment considering the attempts we have made to keep you away from me. We aren't talking about threads regarding the band, only threads regarding ME that you've been told to leave alone for the sake of peace and respect for LBT. Do you think anyone believed you had compassion for my pain over the loss of my beloved pet on a thread I started for his friends? SUSAN, AS SOON AS YOU STOP DODGING THE QUESTION, THIS ENTIRE DEBACLE WILL END. ONCE AGAIN: OTHER THAN THE SAKE OF BEING OBNOXIOUS, WHY DO YOU FOLLOW AND PARTICIPATE IN THREADS ABOUT ME WHEN WE ARE TRYING TO AVOID YOU? " For heavens sake... Why has Lisa been banned when she is obviously being harassed? Why hasn't the other party involved also been banned? Moderators, Photo Nut said "put up or shut up". Lisa then posted valid proof, as everyone has seen smeared ALL over this board, over and over again. Why did you lock the thread before Susan had a chance to respond to her own request? Where's that intelligent answer we've all been hoping for? I strongly feel that if you reprimand one it is only FAIR that you ban both.

    Locking Threads????

My comment was actually meant sarcastically..... While it is entertaining, it is quite anoying that people don't know when to JUST STOP. Leave each other alone... go on with your own lifes... quit calling names... EVERYONE grow up! This is like some weird social experiment gone wrong.

    Locking Threads????

Wow Donna... this whole thing must really be bothering you to take the time to write so many "blahs". I think the whole thing is actually quite comical and am really enjoying a good laugh at this forum. Even though people won't admit it they ALL turn their heads to look at the train wreck, and that is just what we have here. Thanks a lot... this beats the hell out of reality TV.

    Bring back Lisa Bones....

Wow... where have I been? I really missed it all and I am glad. I must say though, the whole situation is very immature!!! I feel if people don't like something they read or something someone else says then they can turn the other cheek and go the other way. Come on ladies involved! GROW UP. This is not high school. Not everyone is going to like everyone else. Let's keep the nasty comments to ourselves and act like the grown up women that we are and not a bunch of teenagers! This whole fiasco is RIDICULOUS. Also, if one person is going to be banned from the board, I think it is only FAIR that everyone involved in the trash talking is banned. What's good for the goose is good for the gander.

Could we get a head count off all those who plan to attend? Count me in. I can't wait! I'd love to meet each and every one of you!
  6. Lisa's scenario makes sense. It probably was not band related. Sounds like someone that died of cardiac arrest just happened to have a band. Whew! (wiping head of sweat).....

    Marriage Dictionary

I had a friend whose little girl called her boobies "She-She's". My husband also calls me boobbala. It's taken from the yiddish "bubby" (grandmother) otherwise a term of endearment. Also, here in the south we say "fixin" a lot. I'm fixin to go to the store and so fourth. LOL

    Port Area Hurts Big Regrets

I started feeling better in about a week. Hang in there, you should be feeling better soon. By the way, if you don't have any pain meds I suggest asking your surgeon for some. Loratab was a lifesaver for me the first week after surgery. Good Luck to you.:clap2:

    Im losing my hair

I have suffered from hair loss... and I mean gobs of hair. It was really scarry and I thought I was going to go bald, but thank goodness it has slowed down. My doctors office swears my thyroid is properly medicated (I have hypothyroidism and have had it since I was 12). I started taking vitamins regularly and they seem to be helping. My general practitioner says that I'm being malnourished and that is what is causing the hair loss. I'm trying to eat better and keep up the vitamins. Good luck to all of you with the same problem.

Where were you at six months post-op?

:help: Hello! I can totally understand your frustration. My surgery was a little over 5 months ago and I've only lost about 41 lbs. My husband says you can tell, but I don't feel too much of a difference. I do have some clothes that are getting baggy, but they're not as big on me as I would have hoped by now. This is very frustrating to me. I too have slipped and had food that I shouldn't. My band is really weird, I can detect restriction with some foods, but not all. When I go in for a fill they tell me I'm restricted enough, but I feel like I could be more restricted. I guess if it were any tighter I'd probably have more reflux problems, etc. The doctors office also seems pleased with the progress I've made thus far. My husband tells me ALL the time that the slow weight loss is due to not getting enough exercise. I know he's right, but I don't have a lot of energy yet, so serious exercise is out of the question until I start feeling better.:notagree
  12. Since my surgery, I've lost 40 lbs and so far (thank God), no saggy skin. But I am very concerned about this becoming a problem as I lose more weight. I mentioned this to my doctor and they recommended three things: Drink LOTS of water, Walk & Moisturize your body DAILY. Well... I have found an amazing product that can help with the third item. It's called Body Dew Bath Spray. It is an awesome smelling spray that makes baby oil obsolete! You know how you put baby oil on after a shower and you rub and rub and it never seems to soak into your skin? Then you end up with an oily mess on your clothes? Body Dew Spray does NOT do that. It actually SOAKS into your skin because it's made from Carnation oil. The molecules in Carnation oil are much smaller than those of regular baby oil therefore allowing it to penetrate the skin and not just sit on top. If anyone is interested, or want further info., please PM me! I just LOVE this stuff. Happy moisturizing! :clap2:
  13. Londoner- Don't be worried At ALL! The surgery itself is a breeze if you have a great surgeon. One bit of advice; be sure and ask your doctor for a pain prescription to have on standby after surgery incase you need it. My doctor automatically gives all of his patients Loratab liquid and it helped so much. The first week you can expect a little discomfort. I had a pretty bad pain in my left side due to all the gas they pumped into me to be able to do the surgery laproscopically. That was really the worst of it, and that only lasted about a week. Also, be sure to strictly stick to any diet restrictions your doctor gives you prior surgery. This also helps to alleviate any unnecessary pain. Best of luck to you!

Alison- I can absolutely show you an amazing way to make extra $$$, have fun, travel and all the great stuff that comes along with it. Ask me about Slumber Parties and I'll tell you how! Hope to see you in Vegas next year!
  15. :Banane56: Last night I discovered an absolutely WONDERFUL product that I think would be great for bandsters. It's called the Hot Heart Throb. It is a reusable little heart that heats up when you pop the little disc inside of it. Ever heard of a hot rock massage? Well, this is even BETTER! Not only did I have the best massage I've ever had, but I also had a tummy ache (ate too fast or something) so I laid the little heart on my tummy where it hurt and the pain actually went away. It felt so much better than a heating pad because I could actually feel the heat penetrating deep inside my tissues not just on the surface. All of this and no restricting cord to have to plug in. If anyone is interested in this nifty little product PM me and I'll be happy to get you one!

    Excellent Product for Bandsters

Actually DeLarla, Penni and I are one big happy family! DeLarla is Slumber Mommie to both us us! We're all here to help one another out. This is one great sisterhood that is WONDERFUL for ALL women.
  17. Add me in for a dessert item too. I am undecided as to what yet. Any suggestions or favorites?

    Fun Vacation in Texas

Barbara- I understand about the drive and all. Maybe I could get a suite in Galveston that Friday night to hold the Slumber Party. It only lasts a few hours (kind of my reason for hosting the event). Then we'd have the rest of the weekend at the beach or Moody Gardens or wherever we all decided on. So were you thinking about getting a room in Galveston for the get-together? Maybe I can call to see if any of the hotels will give us a better rate for booking a block of rooms. I'm game!
  19. :welcome2: Hello Ladies and Gents! I have another exciting idea along the same line as DeLarla's Sangria Suarez in Vegas. I am considering having a "Texas Fiesta" bash and Slumber Party for those who would like to visit the Houston, TX area. I'm thinking about sometime this summer, but I wanted input from all of you to see if there was any interest in a Texas bash and what date(s) would be good for all of you'll. I also thought we could make a weekend of it like DeLarla's. Maybe have the Slumber Party on a Friday night (only ladies 18+ , sorry guys) then on Saturday we could all take a mini road trip or just party at my hacienda at get to know one another better. My home is not too far from Galveston Island, so the beach &/or Moody Gardens could be one option. We also have other fun things nearby like NASA space center, Old Town Spring (antiques, collectibles and other shopping), Raceway Park in Baytown (drag races, etc.), horseback riding and much much more. Let me know if this is of any interest to any of you and I'll be glad to start making the preparations for a Super Fun "Texas Fiesta" bash. <!-- / message --><!-- sig -->__________________ :clap2:

    Excellent Product for Bandsters

Seppi- I am a new distributor for Slumber Parties, the company that supplies that little product and lots of other neat ones too! I'm amazed how so many of their products have multiple uses! The Hot Heart Throb is my favorite. I used it for the first time last night and just had to share it you'll!

    Fun Vacation in Texas

photoNut- Not a problem at all! I'd say whomever wants to attend the Slumber Party can and anyone else that would like to join in the festivities could hook up with the rest of the gang either later Friday night or early Saturday morning. That way we could get an early start and make a day of Galveston / Kemah or whatever we decide.

    Fun Vacation in Texas

Barbara - I actually live in Richmond which is about an hour and 1/2 or so from Galveston. Not too bad of a drive. Unfortunately, I only have room at my home to accommodate a few. I was thinking about negotiating a deal with a nearby hotel for a discounted rate on a block of rooms. I used to work at a hotel so I have a few tricks up my sleeve to getting a better rate. Plus, the hotel rooms in my area will be a lot cheaper than the ones we'd be able to get in Galveston. Remember, summer time is prime tourist time in Galveston, therefore the hotel/motels tend to charge inflated rates during that time. What do you think? :Banane56:

    Fun Vacation in Texas

Donna- Kemah is nearby Galveston. It's considered a "boardwalk" similar to Atlantic City without the casinos. It has lot of restaurants, carnival type games and several rides (mostly for the kiddies). There is also a neat place there that sells boat rides to tourists on the bay. It's really cool, but not really enough activities there to make it an over-night option.

    Fun Vacation in Texas

:welcome2: Okay ladies... time for some input. I agree we need to firm up some of the details. First off, any suggestions on a summer date for this event? I suggest July 14th or 21st, but am totally open to suggestions. Don't forget we will be doing a Slumber Party at my home the Friday evening that the event begins. We could migrate to Galveston or Kemah on Saturday morning and could either spend one night there or even come back to my neck off the woods and make it a day trip only. It really depends on who wants to attend and the finances of everyone involved. I'd like to make this as economical as possible so more people would have the opportunity to attend. Please advise. :help:
