  1. I’m glad you asked this as I have my sleeve done on the 18th and plan to return to work on the 25th. Hoping I do as good!
  2. At the hospital getting pre-op done for sleeve surgery Monday!
  3. So sorry your in pain, hope the gas passes quickly, so you’ll be on your way to a speedy recovery! I go today for my pre-op check in and my sleeve is scheduled for Monday the 18th at 6:00 AM.
  4. Thanks I’m a self pay and have to go back, office job so I think I will be okay!
  5. June 18th, getting excited!
  6. Just wondering if anyone out there in sleeve world went back to work a week or two after surgery?
  7. Even with the sleeve, it is not an overnight weight loss to goal, you need to give yourself time and continue proper portion eating, don’t stretch the pouch and don’t forget the exercise. Take time to lose it correctly and you’ll be happier in the end!! Stay positive!
  8. Shortmocha is giving sound advice, take it to heart and really consider talking to a therapist. If your head isn’t in the game now, then surgery is pointless. It is hard and each of us have those triggers, but knowing what they are and how to avoid them will be the key to success. Good luck and God Bless!
  9. Just curious to know if there are others out there that are self pay, because your insurance won’t cover Bariatric surgery. I’m self paying.
  10. I’d schedule it at the earliest possible date. If you try to accommodate everyone else’s schedule you will never find a good time.
  11. I have been looking at having the Sleeve done for over a year, finally bit the bullet, went to the doctor, since I’m self pay, only had to do the dietician meetings and classes, and get EKG clearance. At first my hubby was very leery, but I think I’ve shown him my determination by following the pre op diet very closely. He finally has come around and will be taking off to be with me on Monday at the hospital! I’m excited to be on this journey!
