I had no idea they had straw free cups! Thanks for the tip. I was just at Starbucks yesterday bought a tall unsweetened passion iced tea without a straw yesterday. It’s sitting on my nightstand half full.

Umm. I’m obese. And I’ve struggled with weight my while life. I was at 199 with diet and exercise. Yea im not 300+ lbs. but my highest weight was 217 lbs. your comment is basically the reason why I’ve only told 3 people in my life what I’ve done. And after seeing the size of my stomach after it was removed, I did some serious damage to it by bing eating.

Before my pre op diet I was at 198-200. day of surgery weight was 194. todays weight is 190.

3 days out and I’ve lost 4 lbs. gas pain was so unbearable, but it has finally subsided. I had my first popsicle today! The gurgling in my stomach freaked me out a bit. But found out it was normal. My family had pizza for dinner. No big deal, I went to visit them. (They have no idea I’ve been sleeved) and I didn’t have any cravings nor desire to have a slice. When I offered, I simply said I ate already. But I’m glad no one can tell that I’ve had surgery. :)

You said it best they don’t belong in your new journey!! Yess! Not going to lie, it hurt me. Since I crossed the border. But my coordinator was with me, and is still with me. Love her so much for that. I was so scared before going in. But I’m awake now. Been awake for a few hours. When i first woke up I was in pain and nauseas. It’s now 4 hours later I’m still groggy, but I’m being refreshed with crushed ice. It’s such a crazy feeling how I can feel how must that liquid is going to my new stomach.

My surgery day is tomorrow. I had someone going with me but they decided to be a unsupportive jerk and not go. So I’m going solo. Such a negative way to begin a new journey, not maybe this person doesn’t belong in this new journey.

Day 2 of my liquid diet, and this is rough. 6 days til my surgery. Still need to get my shopping list completed. anyone have some helpful options to shop for?

Yes ice cold water! That’s the only way I drink it!! I guess that’s going to change. ? I have 2 days for my pre op diet, so I’ll enjoy myself as much as I could! Today it’s sushi!!! Thanks for the info! Great weightloss record keep it going!

Haha thanks! I’m glad I’m not the only one. I’ll definitely enjoy my last splurged meal with a normal sized stomach. I have head hunger currently, and try my best to ignore It. How is the sleeved life treating you? Do you have a peak and a pit for it?

My surgery date is June 28th. Pre op diet starts on the 21st.

My pre op diet starts soon. I don’t like that my brain wants me to eat allll the food because after the pre diet it’s the surgery. Which means new lifestyle. Does anyone else have this issue?

Let’s definitely keep in touch! We can be surgery buddies. No in really knows about my surgery. I don’t want anyone to give me their opinion! Haha I also don’t want my mom to freak out on me.

How exciting that’s next week! The 125-135 is my goal too! The last time I was 125-130 I was In he high school. So it’s kinda weird imagining myself that small. It’s been such a struggle to maintain 194 right now.

June 28th in Tijuana! Anyone else venturing across the border?

I will be going June 28th for my vsg surgery In Tijuana. I will have a companion there with me. But so will my patient coordinator. I will be having my procedure done by Dr. Andrade Soto, at the Prado surgical center. Everything is included, including hospital stay, and testings. I have done a lot of research, and I’m comfortable with my decision. Im very nervous, but I know I will be in experienced, and caring hands.

Hey guys! June 28th here! I’m starting to freak myself out! Pre op diet begins on June 21st. I haven’t told anyone I’ll be having this done besides my boyfriend. Work doesn’t even know. They just think I’ll be out of town for awhile. I haven’t told a soul because I don’t want to hear any backlash.
