  1. Question for those who are in the first couple weeks of post opt how much are you able to eat/drink in a day. I am currently 6 days post opt (June 7th) and would just like and idea of what others can get down. I still don’t know what a full feeling feels like. Only thing I have felt is a bubble feeling if I drink too much liquid in a sip What can you get down in 24 hours?
  2. I am 6 day post opt Yesterday I started freaking out because my vision was becoming super blurry when I tried to read anything up close (farsighted). Now I have never has any vision issues before, I don’t even wear glasses. 20/20 vision here It was freaking me out so I started searching online about weigh loss surgery and eyesight. The main thing I found was the connection to scopolamine and blurry vision. I was given scopolamine (a circle patch you put behind your ear to prevent nausea). before I I went to surgery. So after I read about that immediately took the patch off. Since it has been off I want to say my vision is a little better. Has anyone else ever have this happen after using scopolamine? If so did your vision ever come back to normal and how long did it take?
  3. Silly question I know, I half way joking, but I still want to know. How soon after surgery were you able to eat a taco salad? (No sour cream or guacamole). Just lean ground beef or turkey, lettuce, tomato, onion and a pinch of cheddar cheese.
  4. @Matt Z- Lol I just don’t like guacamole or sour cream :-)
  5. For the record this is not me saying you should eat tacos all the time , Eat junk and skip the healthy food. This is Just simply a question. (I’ve seen some judgmental replies on post that ask questions like mine.
  6. Currently checked in at the hospital waiting to go back to get prepped for surgery. Shoutout to all the other June 7th surgery people!! Wrote this last night when I couldn’t call asleep. Twas the night before surgery, when all thro” the house, not a cookie was found, not even a crumb. The chicken broth was cooked by the microwave with care, in hopes that my surgery would soon be here. I then lay down nestled all snug in my bed, while visions of my tiny waist danced in my head. Dreaming me in size 10’s and all the new clothes, had me dozing away for a short summers nap. When out from my phone there arose such a clatter, I sprang from the bed to see what was the matter. Away to my phone I flew like a flash, turned off my alarm, and threw on the bath.
  7. Thanks you all for the support. I’m doing okay, other than gas pains. I’m able to get fluids down (very slowly). I’ve gotten up and did my walking a couple times. At first a had to beg for them to let me get up, when that didn’t work I threatened to pull out all my wires and go walking on my own. After that they magically found someone to walk with me. Praying I don’t get the same nurse as yesterday, she was so unprofessional. When I would ask legit question she ignored me and would just straight walk out of my room.
  8. Well surgery is scheduled for June 7th.....4 days away. I currently don’t have anyone going with me to the hospital while I’m having surgery, is that normal? I don’t have any family here and I also haven’t told any of my friends. Only person who knows is my roommate, because he is going to pick me up from the hospital after surgery. Kinda feeling alone, but I think I can do it. Any others go through this process alone?
  9. Any of you buy one of these for after surgery, did you need it? If so how did it help? Questioning if it’s really needed or not.

  13. I have Aetna and I would like to know how long it took you guys for approval once all your paperwork was submitted by the doctor. My paperwork was submitted last Wednesday the 23rd and I haven’t heard anything. I have also called my insurance to mark my claim as urgent. I know my paperwork is in the per certified stage (I basically talked to Aetna on the phone for 2 hours to make this happen). I am currently on day 7 of my liquid diet and I am trying desperately to have my surgery on June 4th or 7th (doctor is trying leave a spot open for me) I would just like to know how long your process took from paperwork submitted to approval

    Aetna Insurance

The hospital is considered a hospital of excellence, however for some reason it is out of network for me, From what I was told last they are trying to get the hospital approved. It is already approved for several other Aetna accounts, my account is just ridiculous
